Assuming Direct Control Achievement Guide
- Begin a new game in a 1936 scenario with Ironman mode enabled. Ensure that Historical AI focuses are turned off, and select Austria as your playable nation.
- Allow time to pass until March 15th, which is approximately 70 days. During this period, there is a possibility that Germany will experience a civil war. If Germany does not enter a civil war, restart the game and try again.
- Accumulate political power (PP) until you have at least 150 PP. Once you have enough, hire a fascist demagogue.
- Continue to save up PP until you can access the decisions “Open Up Political Discourse” (costs 75 PP) and “Demand Referendum” (costs 100 PP).
- Focus on improving relations with the “German Reich” and initiate diplomatic negotiations to join their faction.
- IMPORTANT: Do not join the war against the German Reich!
- Optionally, enhance relations with the Junta faction and send an attaché. This step is not mandatory, but it can expedite the progression of the war.
- Wait for the German Reich to capitulate, at which point you will become the faction leader.
