In this list, I’m going to talk about all the girls you can have a romantic relationship with in the game. I’ll rank them from the ones I like the least to the ones I like the most. Remember, these are just my thoughts, and you might have different preferences, like how I like oranges, and you might prefer grapefruits, and that’s perfectly okay!

I plan to keep updating this guide with more information and, depending on my mood, maybe even change my opinions about the girls.

I’ll do my best not to give away any major spoilers, or at least I’ll try to hide them in tricky language so you can still enjoy the game without knowing too much in advance!

Introduction

Right now, there are seven girls in the game that you can be in a romantic relationship with. Here’s the order you’ll meet them in your playthrough:

  1. First, there’s Cecilia.
  2. Second, you’ll meet Eva.

The next five girls you encounter depend on the choices you make in the game. If you decide to go back to England, you’ll meet:

  1. Alyssa
  2. Lina

But if you choose to become a mercenary in France, you’ll encounter:

  1. Olivia
  2. Anna
  3. Emma

Are you ready to dive into the list now? Let’s start!

#7 Olivia

Starting with Olivia, I have to say, she wasn’t what I expected when I experienced her different endings.

Initially, she appears to be a strong and assertive woman, but in reality, she’s quite unusual. Olivia is far from being your average person.

Surprisingly, she prefers hearing your lies, even when she knows you’re not telling the truth, rather than knowing the plain truth.

She’s the kind of person who might make you think she’d keep you locked up in a basement forever, but of course, that would never actually happen, right?

She’s known to say things like, “Looks can be deceiving, boy.”

Overall, I’d rate her a 6 out of 10, with a touch of mystery and intrigue.

#6 Alyssa

Fortunately for me, my expectations of her were accurate. Olivia is indeed a noble girl who desires to rule with strict authority, even if it means harm to her people, all while craving complete control over her domain.

She’s cunning and doesn’t hesitate to look down on you for your commoner origins, even if you’ve managed to ascend to the ranks of nobility, albeit at a lower level.

Olivia truly embodies the characteristics of a potential high-ranking noble, both the admirable and not-so-admirable traits.

Overall, I’d rate her a 7 out of 10, with a nod to the Geneva suggestion.

#5 Cecilia

Cecilia is likely the first girl you’ll encounter in your playthrough. She’s a doctor/surgeon aligned with the English, although she has previously worked with different factions, which I won’t delve into here.

Personally, I’m quite fond of her because she’s the one who saved your life when you were in a critical condition following an encounter with a character from the prologue.

At some point, you might feel like you’re practically becoming a doctor yourself, given how much time you spend gathering ingredients, buying supplies, and crafting items according to her requests.

However, there isn’t much more to her character, at least as far as I can recall (although I might need to replay the game on my next run and pay closer attention to the dialogue instead of rushing through on HWR difficulty).

I’d rate her a 7.5 out of 10, with a reference to Page’s Sword.

#4 Emma

Emma, the daughter of a distant mayor, fits the mold of a typical noble, enjoying a life of luxury. This lifestyle significantly influences how you can build your relationship with her.

To foster a connection with Emma, you’ll need to lavish her with expensive gifts like gold chains, gemstone-adorned rings, and other costly items. It appears that the only way to deepen your bond with her is by giving her money and luxurious presents.

I’ve placed her higher in the rankings than Cecilia because there’s a chance for you to marry her, depending on the choices you’ve made in the previous chapter. These choices will determine whether you stay with her or meet a less fortunate fate.

Emma is a decent noble character, not as intimidating as Olivia or as sinister as Alyssa. Her relatively amiable nature is a valuable trait for a higher-status noblewoman.

I’d rate her an 8.5 out of 10, reflecting the value of the items you’ve invested in her.

#3 Anna

Anna holds a special place in my heart because she reminds me of Yennefer, both in her appearance and her actions, although she lacks the magic and other supernatural elements.

She’s an alchemist who used to work for the highest bidder, although her circumstances change due to your actions in the game. You’ll discover more about her background as you progress.

Interestingly, she has a significant connection to someone else on this list, and it’s a fun puzzle for players to figure out who that might be.

Her quests are relatively straightforward, although one of them can be quite challenging, especially if you’re also trying to build a strong relationship with the person connected to her (hint: consider acquiring something that can effectively break armor).

And in her own words, she gets quite close when she says, “Families are great when buried together.”

I’d give her a perfect 10 out of 10, which is equivalent to the number of potions she’s provided me with.

#2 Eva

This is the second girl you’ll encounter when someone higher up orders you to “acquire” some wine from her estate. Depending on your luck, everything might go smoothly, or you could end up like someone who’s important to her (you’ll discover the details as you play).

She’s a genuinely kind and sweet person, and her initial politeness towards you depends on how you respond to her. She mentions that she has a very important father, and depending on the choices you’ve made, his fate may mirror what happens when you first approach her estate. There are also some parallels with the guards in Skyrim.

The reason I included the picture of her crying is to emphasize that there are choices in the game that can lead to very unfortunate outcomes for her. I would strongly discourage being cruel to her; it’s quite heartbreaking.

Overall, I’d give her a 9 out of 10, representing the warmth and hospitality she extends to you.

#1 Lina

Without a doubt, Lina is objectively the best girl in the game (and I won’t argue with you in the Cesspool Of Leaked Sekrit Dokuments in War Thunder, 1 v 1 in L3’s in Poland).

Lina is a peasant girl who works as a maid for the mayor of a city somewhere in England, close to the border of the Roman Emperor Hadrian’s nightmares (he had to build a massive wall to keep them out).

Even though she’s a maid, I’d gladly clean dishes, mop floors, tidy rooms, take care of livestock, and cook for her! All she needs to do is relax, and I’m there to help.

She’s an incredibly kind person and undeniably adorable.

If you’re looking for redemption after choosing the worst possible outcome for Eva, you have a chance to make amends (hopefully without ending up covered in red) by helping her father, who is facing difficulties with some higher-class individuals.

Overall, who am I kidding? A definite 10 out of 10 for all the cuteness she brings into the game. Cheers and love!

Grace and Glory (Honourable Mentions)

Even though they aren’t romanceable characters, Grace and Glory definitely deserve a mention here because their character designs are cool!

On the left is Grace, and on the right is Glory. They are bounty hunters who’ve accepted a contract to assassinate someone on this list, citing witchcraft and heresy as the reasons (you’ll discover who that someone is).

To encounter them in the game, you need to have a good relationship with the person they’re after. Depending on the choices you make regarding that person, you can either confront and defeat the bounty hunters or side with them to help eliminate the target.

Choosing to assist them can lead to some surprising twists and a very rare achievement, making it an intriguing option.

I’d rate them 8.5 out of 10, which corresponds to the value of the weapons they drop.
