You want to find a way to farming a lot of extra life, so you don’t have to keep start-over at beginning every time you run out of life? This will show a few location of “Extra Life” which you can find in the game.
How to Unlock Hard Mode?
Hard Mode is an unlockable game mode, which previously displayed “???” for players on the title screen (which required players to beat this game mode to see “true ending” ). However, in order to unlock it, you need to collect all emblems in stages, and then a hidden passageway in the final stage “Hanging Gardens 2” will become accessible. Find and enter it will unlock “Hard Mode” (The game story will still continue from here.)
In hard mode, there are many significant changes such as:
- Copen will be locked to level 1 (Has only 200 HP )
- Can no longer Heal with Lola’s healing ability (But the checkpoint still provide player full heal)
- Far shorter invincible time after being hit.
- Cannot Upgrade
- Boss have different weaknesses, and can no longer be stunned.

Volcano Block
Extra-life Location: This can be found in the second area, at the same spot where you find the 4th emblem.
Laboratory Block
Extra-life location: At the Hidden room in the first area, the same room where the player collects 2nd emblem.
- Required: Gatling-Blitz
Industrial Block
Extra-life location: At the second area of the stage, one of the passage rooms is full of gold mines. Destroy all golden mines. It will appear from the last one (the same one where the player finds and collect 3rd emblem).
Arctic Block
Extra-life Location: In the first area, in the same room where the player finds and collects the 2nd emblem. Activate the device in the first room with Doomsday Charge, then rush to the opposite room.
- Required: Doomsday Charge
Space Block
Extra-life Locations: At the beginning of the second area.
- Gatling Blitz is required.
At the second area, after passing the second check point, the same one where the player finds and collects 3rd emblem.
The fourth emblem can be found in the second area, just before the gate to the boss area, which is also where the player finds and collects the fourth emblem.
Extra Life Farming Method
Space block, Ace stage has the most collectible extra-life and fastest, the easiest way to collect.
Once a player reaches the second area, hit the checkpoint at the very beginning.
Then you can start to collect Extra-life you can find in this area.
Be sure to avoid any “checkpoints” at this point. Or you can restart the stage from the very beginning.
Once you have collected all of them, go to the pause menu, then choose “Escape” > “Retry” (Be reminded that it will consume 1 extra life to process).
If a player did correctly, the player would be at beginning of the second area, however, every extra-life player collected will respawn. and a player can repeat the progress.
The game will store your extra life even if you quit the game. So much fun with the plethora of retries and extra-life.
Once players are satisfied, to save the game, go to the pause menu, escape, and exit. (If you go to the Options menu and then back to the title screen, the game will not be saved and you will lose your progress!)
If I lose all of my collected extra-life in an attempt to beat the final boss, do I need to farm them again?
Are you afraid that you may lose all of your hard-earned extra-life just for a single-stage and then fail? Well… there’s a way to prevent this case. It’s very simple. “Copy your save slot.”
This game allows you to copy or duplicate savefiles, which include your extra-life you have stored as well.
This method will save you a large amount of time if you lose all your retries and don’t want to farm extra life all the way again.
