  • Patch Title: Update notes for 0.1.13
  • Patch Release Date: April 3, 2024

The developer of Froguelike has released a new update for the game on April 3, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.

It is finally Wednesday again, my fronds!

This update is all about the chapters.

We have updated the chapter selection screen in preparation for adding new chapters. The new chapter selection screen has more space for text, it shows what items and tongues you can find in a chapter as well as what collectibles and power-ups are available in the chapter.
Behind the scenes we have a new system for creating the “waves” of bugs in each chapter and with that we also did some balancing for a bunch of chapters (for those interested you can read the details below). The balancing is something we will continue to work on the upcoming week, so please let us know what you think of it!

Changes:

  • The chapter selection screen has been updated
  • A bunch of chapters have been balanced

    • “Hydrophobic”: More variety of beetles and butterflies. Last wave is harder.
    • “Help from above”: More low level bugs in each wave.
    • “Drought”: Two final waves are not stupidly hard anymore.
    • “Another way”: Last wave is not stupidly hard anymore.
    • “Toxic truth”: More low level bugs in earlier waves. Third wave is easier.
    • “Party”: More variety of bugs overall.
    • “Worthy frogs only”: Last wave is easier.
    • “A buzzy day”: Last wave is easier.
    • “Ballad in the garden”: Last wave is easier.
    • “Insect showdown”: More low level bugs in early waves
    • “Fortune and gold”: Third wave is easier. Last wave is harder.
    • “Quest for taste”: Last wave is easier.
    • “Following the legends”: Third wave has more different plants. Last 2 waves are easier.
    • “Finding the Truth”: overall easier.
    • “I made a mistake”: Two last waves are easier.
    • “Looking for ponds”: 4th wave is easier.
    • “Home Sweet Home”: 2nd wave and last wave are easier.
    • “Love of Nature”: 2nd wave and last wave are easier.
    • “The Threat”: Waves have been balanced and made more logical w/ the story.
    • “The Hero”: Waves have been balanced and made more logical w/ the story.

You can reach us here in the Steam forums or over at our Discord server if you want to let us know what you think about the changes to the chapters, or if you have other feedback or suggestions for the game that you want to share (over at Discord you can also look at some frog memes and talk to us in general if you would like 🙂 ).
As always, it is a good idea to back up your save file before starting the game after an update. If you want instructions for where to find the save file you can read the details below.
On Windows you can find the save file here: %AppData%/../LocalLow/Les Grenouilles/Froguelike
And on Mac here: ~/Library/Application Support/Les Grenouilles/Froguelike
The file you want to save a copy of is called “FroguelikeSaveFile.bin”
See you in the next chapter!
Johanna and Rémi
