New Temporal Anti Aliasing – No More Aliasing, Flickering v8.4.3 Mod Details

New Temporal Anti Aliasing – No More Aliasing, Flickering v8.4.3 ETS2

In this update (v8.4.3), we have made some changes:

  • Added DLSS/DLAA
  • Added multithread support for TAA shader generation, so the game won’t slow down when you encounter new objects

Temporal Anti Aliasing (TAA) is a method used in modern games to fix aliasing problems. Here are some key points about TAA in ETS2/ATS:

  • It has a low impact on game performance compared to other anti aliasing solutions
  • It is not just a postprocess TAA that blurs your screen

We have implemented TAA with a .dll file that replaces the default anti aliasing method. This will remove or reduce aliasing, flickering, and shimmering with minimal impact on performance. With this, you can eliminate aliasing issues by setting the resolution scale to 100%. You can then use the remaining GPU power for higher graphic settings or anything else you want.

Supported Versions:

  • ETS2: 1.49 – 1.48 – 1.47
  • ATS: 1.49 – 1.48

Installation:

  1. Go to Euro Truck Simulator 2/American Truck Simulator folder
  2. Go to “binwin_x64” folder
  3. Copy and paste the dxgi.dll file
  4. Start the game with DirectX 11
  5. Disable any other anti aliasing (SMAA, MSAA, Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI))

Settings:

Press “HOME” or “CTRL+P” keys to open the in-game menu. You can adjust the following settings:

  • Rate: TAA apply rate (default and recommended value is 9)
  • Sharpness: Sharpen filter rate
  • T. SSAO: Anti flickering solution for inbuilt SSAO feature (use with in-game SSAO)
  • T. Shadow: Anti flickering solution for inbuilt shadow feature

***You can use this method for any other project that uses the dxgi.dll file. Here’s how:

  1. Create a folder named “reshade” inside “binwin_x64” folder
  2. Copy reshade files (dxgi.dll, ReShade.ini, ReShadePreset.ini, reshade-shaders) to “binwin_x64reshade” folder
  3. Put TAA dxgi.dll to “binwin_x64” folder
  4. Now you can play the game with TAA and ReShade

***When reshade is activated, you need to use “END” key for TAA instead of “HOME” key.

Test Version

If you want to use DLSS with NVIDIA GPUs, put the “nvngx_dlss.dll” file in the “binwin_x64” folder. If you already downloaded the “nvngx_dlss.dll” file, you don’t need to download it again with DLSS.
