Useful tips and techniques for obtaining the “Go The Extra Mile” achievement and saving time.

General tips

  • To determine the bonus levels you have already completed, navigate to the menu, select freeride, and check the custom levels.
  • If you have already completed a level, you can replay it using the aforementioned menu.
  • However, entering custom seed levels will not count towards achieving the bonus.
  • The achievement must be completed in Career mode.
  • You can complete it in multiple separate runs; there is no need to do it all at once.
  • Before attempting the achievement in Career mode, I recommend using the Bedroom bonus level for training.

Construction Site

The objective of this level is to reach the top. To accomplish this, focus on successfully completing the initial jump and maintaining a straight path. Resetting the camera (pressing B) will provide clearer visibility of your route.

Mega Ramp

To maximize your score, build up your speed and perform a back or front flip with a spin during the jump, ensuring a smooth landing. Consider adding extra style on the following ramp after the mega ramp. If you fail to reach 5,000 points, simply reset by pressing R. Performing a Fakie (going down backward) is also an option, but it can be challenging without a crew member for better balance.

Ranch

Performing the 540 trick on a keyboard can be quite challenging. I highly recommend recruiting the crew members “SPIN SPEED” and “TWEAK SPEED” as they significantly improve your chances of successfully executing this maneuver. Additionally, you need a specific type of bike, the downhill bike, to perform these tricks. I suggest practicing the tricks in a bike park before attempting them at Ranch to familiarize yourself with the required controls. While I managed to perform them without the crew members, it was barely possible, although unfortunately, I don’t have a video to share.

Moon

Initially, this level can be challenging, but with experience in bike handling, it becomes more manageable. Having a crew member to jump higher can make it easier for the most part, but there is one letter inside the hoop that is tricky to obtain with the higher jump. You’ll need to be creative and jump sooner or from a different direction. Based on my experience, I recommend acquiring extra lives for this situation. Personally, I have often found myself accidentally colliding with objects and falling off the bike.

Bedroom

This is the final and most challenging level. Before anything else, try collecting all the toys in freeride using the custom seed 1005. I highly recommend gathering as many extra lives as possible along the way to this challenge. Three of the action figures are easy to obtain, but the one positioned above the table on the right requires careful maneuvering at a speed of 34+ to reach it. Sufficient speed alone should be enough, but attempting a moon jump is also an option. The figure located above the wooden plank poses the greatest difficulty. However, by following the route demonstrated in the video and descending from the right ramp with well-timed pumping and a moon jump off the ramp before the plank, reaching it becomes achievable with successful landings occurring most of the time. Going in the opposite direction is also possible but slows you down significantly and increases the chance of errors. Unfortunately, I wasted 13 lives attempting the alternate route, making it much more challenging. Therefore, I strongly recommend following the approach shown in the video, as it proves to be much more manageable.
