A guide describing what is needed to complete each achievement in Dave the Diver.

Important Information

Dave the Diver has one story-related achievement that you may inadvertently miss. This achievement is the Ration Eater Secret Achievement. To avoid missing this achievement, be sure to skip to the Ration Eater section of the Diary before entering the Sea Blue Base in the “Infiltrate the Sea Blue Base” quest line.

Bancho Sushi is Back!

Fixed the Sushi Restaurant.

You can get this achievement after spending 100 gold to repair Bancho’s Sushi Shop.

Undersea Gunslinger

Completed the gun tutorial.

New Undersea Friend

Completed the Dolphin’s request.

You will receive this after rescuing the pink dolphin a few times. The dolphin will visit you randomly while you are diving during the day (morning/afternoon) in the Blue Hole Shallows.

Better Equipment

Made first equipment upgrade.

Make your first equipment upgrade through Duff’s Weapon Shop application. The ability to upgrade is unlocked after completing the Kill the Giant Squid quest.

Undersea Civilization!

Discovered the under-sea village.

Deep-sea Diver

Entered the Deep Sea for the first time.

Culinary Researcher

Researched 5 new dishes.

Use the crafting flames you get for getting a good score during the nightly dinner service. The number of stars you receive reflects the number of flames you receive. 5 stars = 5 flames, and so on.

Culinary Master

Enhanced 5 dishes.

Your “Best Flavor” score is based on the dishes you upgrade. Typically, the fish you catch deeper in the Blue Hole will cost more and have a better base flavor. To get this achievement, I leveled the Tiger Shark Sushi Dish to get the Gold Influencer achievement. When the Glacial Zone opened, I leveled the Narwhal Sushi Dish to get the Diamond Influencer achievement.

Bought First Interior Item.

Influencer

Reached Bronze Level in Cooksta.

Your Best Flavor score is based on the TASTE of your BEST dishes. Go to your menu and sort your dishes by flavor, choose a higher level flavor to level up and reach other influencer levels. You only need one dish to have a high Best Taste score because it is based on your single BEST dish.

Scrap Metal Collector

Picked up 100 items.

Angry Shark!

Caught first shark.

Dave the Sniper

Caught 10 fish with a Sniper Rifle.

Mister Melee

Caught 20 fish with melee weapons.

Saved Dave!

First time bringing Dave back from the brink of death.

A Dark and Cold Place

Discovered the Glacier Passage.

After completing the “Infiltrate the Sea Blue Base” quest, you will gain access to the Glacier Passage.

Momo’s Secret

Got to know Momo a little better.

Visit the sushi shop during the day (morning/afternoon) and feed Momo. You can only feed Momo once a day. After about 5 cans of cat food you will get a cut scene with Momo after the restaurant closes. You can find cat food in loot boxes while diving.

Achoo!

Entered the Glacier Passage for the first time.

A Peaceful Blue Hole

Watched the ending credits.

Dumplings in the Water

Mima’s restaurant opened.

Follow Mima’s quest line until she finally opens her restaurant. She will ask you to collect ingredients about 3 times before she opens her restaurant.

The Seaweed is Growing!

Gumo’s seaweed farm opened.

First, you must complete Khanzin’s quests before Gumo will open. When you complete Khanzin’s quests, he will give you a seaweed seed to take to Gumo to plant.

Feeble Blacksmith

Duwa’s workshop opened.

It’s not necessary to complete all of Duwa’s quests to open the workshop. However, Duwa will give you a quest called “Reopening the Workshop” where he asks you to bring him 5 Opal Ore. After that, Duwa will have another quest for you before the workshop will open the next time you visit him.

Weapon Collector

Collected all the blueprints.

Important: Weapon variations such as “Shock Grenade Launcher” or “Fire Sniper Rifle” DO NOT count towards learning a recipe. You must collect a PLAIN RECIPE 3 times to unlock it.

The Grenade Launcher and the Ice Cannon will probably be the hardest to find. The Ice Cannon can only be found AFTER you unlock the Glacier Passage. After I unlocked the Glacier Passage, I found the gun several times in the Ice Area as well as in the Blue Hole Shallows. The grenade launcher is most likely to spawn in the Blue Hole Depths.

Arms Craftsman

Enhanced gun 3 times.

You only need to upgrade 3 times. It doesn’t have to be the same weapon.

Sea People Historian

Captured all of the Sea People murals.

You will be forced to photograph all but ONE mural throughout the game. The final mural after you finish the game is in the Glacial Passage. Go through the doors to the Glacial Passage in the Sea People Village, once there swim down to the level with the giant mirror. Swim left and through the passage. You will have to repeat this puzzle to get to the mural.

Predator of the Blue Hole

Caught 300 fish.

Catman

Fed cat 20 times.

Visit the restaurant during the day (morning/afternoon) and feed the cats. You can only feed the cats once a day.

Blacksmith Helper

Sold 200 items at workshop.

Professional Farmer

Installed sprinklers in the garden.

To unlock the sprinkler, you must purchase all of the Watering Can upgrades.

GYAO! Master

Raised 5 GYAO!s.

To unlock the GYAO’s you must complete the Stormy Night side mission. Whirlpools spawn on Stormy Nights and when you enter these whirlpools you will be met by a boss monster. When you defeat the Truck Hermit Crab, the GYAO’s should unlock. GYAO’s are very similar to Tamagotchi’s …. they are pretty much a Tamagotchi. You will need to raise the GYAO to adulthood, let it die, and do it again 5 times for this achievement.

Photographer

Took 10 photos at Photo Spots.

I was able to complete this achievement by simply questing and exploring. There are many photo opportunities, the first being in the Deep Blue Depths. Once you take your first photo, more will appear all over the map. As you progress through the story, more photo spots will open up in different areas/times of day.

Strange Fish

Captured 5 FishMon.

Eventually, you will get a quest from Udo the photographer to start catching Fishmon. He will give you a new Fishmon to catch every Saturday, you have until Sunday night to catch the fish or you have to wait until next Saturday to try again.

Pro tip: Udo will tell you how deep the fish are and WHAT YOU NEED to catch them…

A Bancho Sushi Regular

Achieved Platinum rank in Cooksta.

Leadership

Trained employees to level 20.

This is so expensive, so save your money.

Achieved Diamond rank in Cooksta.

Artisan’s Flame

Researched 30 new dishes.

Manager

Bancho Sushi formed a branch restaurant.

Complete this by completing all the VIP missions. Finally, a news reporter will come into the store each week with new challengers. You will go head to head in a cook-off and have to play a Cooking Mama style mini-game. The final mission will unlock a new restaurant location.

Ration Eater

Ate rations.

This may be missed if you don’t pick up the rations at the Sea Blue Base. I do not know if you will be able to return to the base, so just be aware. The rations are on the third floor of the Sea Blue Base. You will have to walk over them to complete the mission.

Dev Killer

Wiped-out all the developers.

This will be unlocked when you finish the game. During the credits, you must find and “kill” all the developer names before the credits end. If you fail the first time, it will unlock as a mini-game on your phone the next day. It seems that the map “wraps around”, so you can swim endlessly in one direction.

God of Lightning

Caught a fish with Mjolnir.

Mjolnir only has a percentage chance of spawning in the Glacial Passage. It can spawn in many different places on the map, so keep an eye out for it. It will spawn in a large chunk of ice, you will need to break it out. You need to kill at least one fish with it, it doesn’t matter how big the fish is.

Creature Hunter

Caught all bosses.

Says “caught” but really means “kill”. Complete both the main quest and the Stormy Nights questline to unlock this achievement. Check your Marinca app to keep track of all the bosses you have already completed.
