This guide provides a method to successfully pop 6 golden bloons on each map without relying on monkey knowledge. The only prerequisite is unlocking the hero Sauda.
What are Golden Bloons?
Golden bloons are special bloons that appear on maps featuring the golden bloon icon, which rotates with the Monkey Teams event every 2 days. Beginner maps will have one golden bloon map for each difficulty level. In this guide, we will focus solely on beginner maps. Golden bloons randomly spawn every 10 levels, starting from level 21 (21-30, 31-40, and so on). There are 4 achievements associated with golden bloons:
The Strategy
Our chosen approach involves playing beginner maps on hard difficulty, aiming to achieve 6 golden bloon pops per map. The overall concept revolves around establishing a strong defense from the beginning of the map and strategically placing an ice monkey towards the end to effectively pop the golden bloons. Here is the recommended sequence of tower placements and their respective upgrades:
- Sauda
- Dart
- Ice 203
- Dart 203
- Alch 200 (strong)
- Dart 204
- Alch 400 -> 420
- #1 Village 300 (for dart and bomb)
- Bomb 204
- Dart 205
- #2 Village 200 (for ice)
- #1 Village 400
Once you have purchased all of these upgrades, you will still have a considerable amount of money remaining, giving you the flexibility to spend it according to your preferences. With the aforementioned strategy, reaching round 80 should be easily achievable. However, it’s important to note that certain towers can pose challenges. If you have another tower attacking the golden bloon simultaneously with the ice monkey, there is a possibility that the bloon may leap forward on the map, evading the ice monkey’s reach.

It is important to exercise caution when utilizing certain towers, namely the Boomerang with bouncing glaives, Ninja with seeking shurikens, and Wizard with arcane spike. Careless bounces or attacks from these towers could inadvertently strike the golden bloon, resulting in its escape.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
- Place the alchemist in close proximity to the dart monkey. This will ensure that the alchemist targets the nearest monkey when using its buff potions.
- If you are not utilizing any monkey knowledge, timing the alchemist’s actions may require precision. In case some lead balloons manage to bypass your defenses, remember to make use of Sauda’s first ability.
