An intentionally short but hopefully helpful guide that aims to explain the appeal of each weapon, and give tips on how to use them. Discussion is encouraged.

Quick Weapon Overview

The Fireball is a great weapon in just about any situation. Just be prepared for it to hit things in the general area where it explodes since not everything dies without a trace.

The Burst is a solid weapon if you can land enough shots. Its range is already limited, so getting close to enemies is recommended, and typically not very risky anyway.

The Plasma is powerful but difficult to use optimally. Charging shots takes a long time and the shots move slowly, so make sure to fire up close to problematic enemies, and line up the shot to get as much value as possible.

The Flare is superb overall and also happens to be perfect for the final boss. Partially charged shots are often valid, especially if you just used a fully charged shot and something survived.

The Puncher is fantastic when you can make use of its spread, which sometimes means getting very close to an enemy. It is also helped greatly by the upgrade that adds bullets to each weapon, by allowing its bullets to boomerang back.

The Needler is probably the closest to the basic weapon. It’s not especially good in any situation, but it’s not too ill-fit for anything either. It’s also easy to use; just release as needed.

The Laser can be extremely useful depending on how often you can optimally use the uncharged shot, which is whenever it’ll kill something. Don’t hurt yourself trying to hit multiple enemies at once.

The Flak Cannon is a weird weapon; it has a low fire rate, but also has low accuracy and can’t instakill most things. On the other hand, it has exceptional damage potential over time and randomly seems to aim itself. Get close to enemies when accuracy is needed, and like for the Puncher, you definitely want the extra bullets to upgrade.

And that’s it! Once again, the discussion is encouraged; let me know if there’s anything you disagree with, or if there’s something missing that’s really important.
