Here’s a short guide on how to fully explore the Wyoming map, explained in a way that’s easy for everyone, even a second-grader, to understand. Exploring the map is easy but takes time. To reach 100%, make sure to visit all the recruitment centers and business spots. Surprisingly, the hidden roads don’t contribute much to your exploration percentage. Despite that, we’ll focus on them in this guide. There’s also a quick overview of the “Population 1” achievement, a rare accomplishment with less than 1% of the community completing it.
Wyoming Hidden Roads Overview
Starting in the Northwest corner of the state at Yellowstone National Park, check out Figure 1. There are two hidden roads labeled A and B. You can see them in the in-game images below in the In-game Images Section if you need help finding them.

Moving South, in Figure 2, two more hidden roads are highlighted. Look for roads labeled C on Togwotee Pass (Wind River Lake) and D South of Jackson, WY near Hoback Junction. The in-game images in the In-game Images Section can guide you to these roads.

Heading Southeast of Hoback Junction, near the omitted town of Pinedale, WY, you’ll reach the Jonah Oil Field. There are several hidden roads within the main oil field labeled E in Figure 3. For visual assistance, refer to the in-game images in the In-game Images Section.

Lastly, in the Southeast corner near Cheyenne, WY, discover the hidden town of Buford, WY, and the associated hidden road described as F in Figure 4. From the summit rest area exit, drive past the rest area onto the dirt road. This road leads to Buford, WY, where you’ll unlock the “Population 1” Achievement. Check the in-game images in the In-game Images Section if you need guidance.
