Age of Empires II Definitive Edition – Easily Getting All Basic Player Icons

Are you interested in acquiring the icon of your favorite civilization, but do not want to experience burnout after playing numerous games? Likewise, do you want to obtain the M O N K E icon without spending a lot of time playing 1800 games? If so, this guide is tailored to your needs, my esteemed companion.

The Concept

Although it is not a secret strategy among players, there is a legitimate way to get instant wins without resorting to cheating or compromising your progression. Remarkably, this approach does not involve exploiting any glitches or loopholes; rather, it involves selecting certain options when setting up a match.

Without further ado, allow me to explain the method:

Step 1: Game Configuration

Start by creating a game with the following parameters:

• Deathmatch Game Mode
• Post Imperial start
• Score victory condition set to the lowest threshold of 4000

The other settings are minor; feel free to adjust them to your liking.

Step 2: Start and finish the game

As you can see, the game was completed immediately after it was started, without any form of delay or intervening factors.

Step 3: Profit

The results have been determined, and it is obvious that you have emerged victorious without exerting any effort.

Speeding It Up

While this method is effective and much faster than the regular process, it is still quite slow and requires hours of staring at the screen just to select two options. Moreover, the result of unlocking an icon has no relevance to your life. However, we have a solution to automate the entire process, allowing you to use your time more productively, such as exercising, reading, or learning a new skill. To achieve this automation, we will use a software called “Auto Mouse Click” developed by MurGee.

Step 1: Downloading and Installing the Software

To begin, go to this link and download the application. The downloaded file will serve as a setup program that you can install on your computer like any other software.

Step 2: Configure shortcuts

Once the software has been successfully installed and launched, you will be confronted with a visually complex interface for a relatively simple autoclicker tool. Fortunately, our focus will be limited to two options: “Get Mouse Position & Add Action” and “Start/Stop Script Execution”.

To assign specific keys to these actions, simply click in the space provided, type the key you want, and then click the “Assign” option next to it. Personally, I have assigned F6 and F7 respectively, but feel free to choose any other key that suits your preference.

Step 3: Configure the Auto-Clicker Script

Continue to launch the game and initiate a game session using the parameters specified in the previous section. At the end of the game, when the victory screen is displayed, position your cursor over the “Exit Map” option without clicking it. Instead, press the F6 key to record the cursor’s current position, which will be used by the auto clicker for subsequent actions. Then quit the game and repeat the same process on the results screen, this time focusing on the “Play Again” option.

When you return to the Auto Clicker program, you will see that two new actions have been added to the action list. Before you proceed, however, notice the “Repeat Script” text box on the right. Set the value in this text box to the maximum possible number (e.g., 999999…) to ensure that the script will run for a long time.

Step 4: Enjoy

The next and final step involves simply activating your execution key (in my particular case, F7) to initiate the process. Once initiated, your menus will automatically cycle through at an accelerated rate. It typically takes about 3-4 minutes (though I haven’t timed it exactly) to unlock a colored civilization icon from scratch.
