Here’s how to make your controller work while playing РиМС Гонки on the Steam Deck. Изначально, игра не видит контроллер, только команды клавиатуры.

• Следующий, получить Протонтрикс. You can find it in the app discovery section in Desktop Mode by searching for ‘protontricks’. If you’re not familiar with Protontricks on the Steam Deck, look it up for more guidance.
• Once you have Protontricks installed, use it to tweak the Windows version to Windows 7.
• Наконец, go to the game properties on Steam and add a launch command. This should help resolve any issues you’re facing with RimS.

Примечание: This trick, initially proposed by Mominjo on ProtonDB for WRC 9 FIA World Rally Championship, which runs on the KT Engine, has been successfully tested on RimS, yielding excellent results!

Here’s a step-by-step guide to implementing the fix for RiMs Racing:

1. Install RiMs Racing and switch to Desktop Mode.
2. Open Protontricks, choose RiMs Racing, and confirm with OK. Через мгновение, select the default wineprefix and confirm again with OK.
3. Следующий, select Run winecfg and confirm with OK. This will open the Wine Configuration window for RiMs Racing. Make sure you’re in the Application tab.
4. At the bottom of the window, switch the Windows version to Windows 7 и нажмите Применить.

Following these steps should resolve the issue. Note that the Proton version used shouldn’t be critical, but I’m running it on Proton Experimental, just for your information.
