Describes my adventures and time spent reaching 100% conquista (35 horas).

Prefácio

Primeiro, this is not really an achievement guide, and I will not list every achievement. This game is easy enough to 100% while occasionally checking the achievements list and playing most characters (há 20 non-pet units) only once:

  • 6 adventures in Standard mode, 1 iniciante + 5 class-specific runs
  • 1 adventure in Hard mode
  • 1 adventure in Easy mode, speedrun

The in-game timer counts only the time you can actually click on tiles. Personally my 100% time is 27 hours in-game timer and ~35 hours total with the game open. This is approximate because I bought the game on Steam about 5 horas depois.

Do not worry about The Walking Dumb e Fool me once… antes Veterano. They will come naturally and quickly in Hard mode, at least if you use Kalar the spatial mage since that’s literally what’s she is used for. The rest can be done in Easy mode but then are you really playing the game? (Suppose those who haven’t played games like Into the Breach before may feel some frustration trying to clear exactly eight adventures without dying too much.)

The sprite used as this guide’s icon is internally named Eastern-King and there’s another one named Western-King which looks like the Death-King (known as the Tyrant) but wears bronze instead of red and black. Interessante… Might have come from early design stages.

Normal mode

Things to look out for, not run-specific:

Triggered

Derrota 5 total enemies with traps in an encounter.

So Many Ways to Die

Matar 3 enemies simultaneously with a trap in an encounter.

Watch Out!

Dano 4 enemies simultaneously with a trap in an encounter.

These three do not need to occur in the same adventure.

Go have fun at the trap biome and become a Trap Master!

Dark Cloud

Generate smoke on an ally’s square to cancel an enemy attack 10 times across all adventures.

Three ways to do this: Melee units can hit the tree behind them. Other units can walk away and smoke their own Shade to cancel an enemy attack. Or provide cover for an ally.

Lenhador

Strike a tree to cancel an enemy attack 20 times across all adventures.

I assume this applies to smoking both allies and enemies.

Merchant’s Favorite

Purchase and use 10 different items across all adventures.

You won’t feel the need to use most items; buy random items anyway and use them once.

Team: Traegar, Lyndal, Leland, Fagulha (cachorro) then Inka (panda)

Ah yes my first run where I had to learn the mechanics. Terribly time inefficient compared to the rest. Panda seems to be somewhat an upgrade over the dog (desculpe). Has potential to do collision damage. Sometimes finds itself in a “neutral economy” state where it attracts and pushes the same enemy away for multiple turns. The dog may find itself in an awkwardly crowded position where it can’t use its pull skill, like right in front of it when its own Shade is blocking the way.

A Quick Dip

Use Spark to drag an enemy into water and cancel their attack.

Atalho

Beat the game with no more than 20 encounters.

Strangely it seems the final boss counts as an encounter, por isso 21, but doesn’t negate this one.

Team: Sorine, Lyndal, Kagami, Inka (panda)

Ancient Secret

Defeat the Tyrant with 3 Mages.

Wipeout

Beat the game and clear all locations on the map.

The Rightful Queen

Use Lyndal to replenish an ally’s action points 3 times in an encounter.

My second and longest adventure. I reused Lyndal and upgraded her support ability with the excess Tyberium ore gained this time. Sorine can be replenished to zap high HP enemies twice during a turn. Before the ally immunity upgrade, she had to rely on her Shade and pet shielded by mage leader passive.

Superior Tactics

Completo 10 encounters without using Reset Turn in an adventure.

Foco

Completo 20 encounters fulfilling all objectives in an adventure.

Mission Accomplished

Beat the game failing no more than 5 objectives in an adventure.

Skillful

Completo 20 encounters without taking damage in an adventure.

Acertou em cheio!

Completo 15 encounters fulfilling all objectives and taking no damage in an adventure.

A Glorious Victory

Defeat the Tyrant without taking damage in the final encounter.

There are three more achievements for defeating Pyro Specter, Summoner Specter, and Dynamite Specter without taking damage. I did miss some objectives and take some damage, but because of how long this adventure was these achievements were fulfilled. The important part was not messing up the boss levels.

Team: Lynette, Harmon, Tink, Mobezi (giant guinea pig)

Defenders of Tyberia

Defeat the Tyrant with 3 Support units.

The Best Offense

Beat the game with no more than 15 danos causados.

Oh garoto, if you thought upgraded Sorine is OP, then Lynette AKA floating bunny girl demon is

seriously OPwhen upgraded! Antes disso, no entanto, she mostly just runs around casting shield on allies and relies on random bomb item (thank the Allfather) from hero leader bonus to do damage or save herself by repositioning an enemy. Eventually she turns into a powerhouse who can commit wave clear twice.

Tink’s upgraded Meditate skill is rather strong too; it can heal allies AND damage enemies at the same time with good output and more versatility than Lyndal’s dragon. What were they smoking??

Giant guinea pig is the most OP pet. This furious furry potato can poop out a baby every turn. Each baby guinea pig can ATTACK enemies, OPERATE heavy weapons, act as BAIT, and don’t count toward damage taken stat when hit. Além disso, momma can FART in an enemy’s face to stop them undeader in their tracks for a turn! This is positive economy no matter what. Por falar nisso, unlocking the last three achievements i.e. 6 estrelas

make the babies show up at camp.

The whole team is OP. Zero damage run. Sadly I did miss an objective. Oh, the caveman guy? Don’t mind him, just let him smash things and throw a son of a lich at a trap.

Team: Rua, Potro, Leland, Lamber (bull)

Undead Hunter

Defeat the Tyrant with 3 Marksmen.

Rue is one of the best DPS (DPT?) revendedores, if not the best. She can pierce more than 2 targets with good damage, and do it twice in one turn as long as she doesn’t move.

Team: Sombra, Slink, Darby, Moonlight (porcupine)

Order of Assassins

Defeat the Tyrant with 3 Assassinos.

Há apenas 3 Assassinos, and this might be my favorite team. Some friendly fire risk with hooded assassin’s second skill and porcupine.

Team: Rinn, Darius, Beatrice, Chance (cavalo)

Tyberian Warriors

Defeat the Tyrant with 3 Lutadores.

Two of these fighters need to be at 2 HP to gain +1 poder de ataque, so this team has the most damage taken. I felt the horse’s passive was necessary. O +1 ally movement bonus also applies to after-dash movement. A melee unit needs this to flank an enemy he just dashed from.

Modo difícil

Team: Kalar, Aella, Rinn, Nici (gato)

The Walking Dumb

Ter 3 enemies killed by another enemy in an encounter.

Fool me once…

Ter 15 enemies killed by another enemy in an adventure.

Veterano

Beat the game in Hard mode.

I felt like this team composition was a mistake. It’s focused too much on enemy manipulation and has abysmal damage output during early game so I couldn’t clear a bunch of encounters within 5 voltas, meaning less Tyberium ore earned. With some enemies already doing 4 damage early on and Kalar’s swap teleport, Fool me once… isn’t something you need to think about. It’s funny seeing that one fat guy blow himself when you swap an enemy in front of his face.

You might be able to do one of the previous adventures in Hard mode in an attempt to reduce number of adventures needed by one, but personally I got Lenhador e Watch Out! on 6th adventure; I feel like doing each class-specific run in Standard mode is decent pacing and ensures 100%. Why hurry to quit the game?

Easy mode

Team: Kieran, Rua, Lynette, Grumbles (urso)

I chose this team for high consistent damage output but mostly Você sabe o que. Kieran was supposed to be the last character for me to play, but apparently I missed Borges (guy with white spiky hair).

Lightning Raid

Beat the game within 60 minutos.

Wow that was easy! Também, to my surprise the actual minimum encounters is 15, não 20, letting you skip the trap biome entirely (or possibly the desert biome).

Easy mode enemies are fewer and weaker, leading Lynette’s monstrous fireworks to clear some encounters in 2 turns instead of 3 from normal mode. Allies clean up anything with more than 4 HP. No time to even hide Freya in a bush or kill 2 enemies with a lone mortar.

I did fumble at the final boss though and didn’t want to take damage, so the time could’ve been shorter. This team can wipe the map including the Tyrant himself twice in a row for a 2 turn clear.

Time stats

5:40:24 20424 s 16m 12s / encounter 21 encounters starter 5:42:31 20551 s 10m 42s / encounter 32 encounters (completo) mago 2:26:54 8814 s 6m 0s / encounter 21 encounters supporter 2:37:45 9465 s 6m 10s / encounter 22 encounters marksman 2:41:23 9683 s 8m 4s / encounter 20 encounters assassin 2:41:01 9661 s 8m 3s / encounter 20 encounters fighter — 21.8 hours game timer (78598 é), total running ~28.5 hours 4 achievements remaining: The Walking Dumb, Fool me once…, Veterano, Lightning Raid 5:05:24 18324 s 13m 52s / encounter 22 encounters (hard mode) — 26.9 hours game timer (96922 é), total running ~34.7 hours 0:07:17 437 s 0m 29s / encounter 15 encounters (easy speedrun) — 27.0 hours game timer (97359 é), total running ~35.1 hours Lightning Raid obtained, 100% conquista

*Let me add just one more. I won’t update any further.

Hard mode Team: Lyndal, Borges, Traegar, Fagulha (cachorro) 03h:25m:29é (10m 58s per encounter) 20 encounters, 22 dmg taken, 46/54 objetivos 7 rescued, 281 enemies slain The dog isn’t too bad in the trap biome since it can sometimes double activate a switch. Borge’s push-and-shield ability is a little cooler than I thought. Plus is if keeps his shield then he can focus on attacking next turn.
