This guide will show you the steps on how to defeat King Dice and all of his minions in Cuphead. We will also be giving you some tips on how to utilize and take advantage of King Dice’s weaknesses.

Recommended Equipment

I recommend using Standard Shot + Guided Shot + Bomba de fumaça (I’ll cover them on each level)

First Fight

The Tipsy Troop

The martini glass will release flying olives which you must be careful to eliminate quickly with the Guided Shot, the whiskey glass will flood the floor with liquor and the bottle on the far right will launch a vertical jet of whiskey. that he will descend in the last position you have in the playing area, at the moment of his attack. Equip the Standard Shot and, staying in the central position, continue to attack the three opponents with shots, avoiding the three offensives that will follow a cyclical but different pattern each game.

Second Fight

Chips Bettigan

Chips will move from right to left, splitting into several parts. Pular, crouch or use Smoke Bomb to avoid taking damage, to damage Chips use Guided Shot so you only need to dodge while holding the button to shoot, but paying attention to avoid Chips movements.

Third Fight

Senhor. Wheezy

He will spit at you a triplet of fireballs that will move towards you following a circular and easily predictable trajectory with a pattern, try to learn this pattern so you don’t take any silly damage. Equipar o Standard Shot, when he goes to switch sides, run away from the enemy offensive and, usando o Bomba de fumaça to avoid being hit by the flying cigarettes that will float in the central area, pass from one ashtray to another to stay at a safe distance from your opponent and deal damage.

Fourth Fight

Pip e ponto

Re-equip the Guided Shooting to continue inflicting damage on Pip and Dot while you focus on jumping the spikes positioned in the wake that moves you forward, also fight or avoid the diamonds and birds that the two dominoes will shoot you.

Fifth Fight

Hopus Pocus

The magic rabbit is even an easy Miniboss, stand on the hanging card in the center of the area and shoot the rabbit with your Standard Shot. Use the Smoke Bomb to dodge the circle of skulls that will appear around you so you don’t risk taking unnecessary damage. Pay attention to the symbols on the cards that will appear at the bottom or top of the level and locate the pink seeds to Parry or avoid them and not lose HP.

Sixth Fight

Phear Lap

In this level it will be an airplane stage, avoid the horseshoes that will come out of the presents and disperse in 360° and watch out for the jockeys that will pass at the bottom of the level, as those dressed as Death will launch themselves towards you if you enter your line of fire, and also don’t skimp on using the Super to speed up time and quickly win this short fight.

Seventh Fight

Pirouletta

Ignore the pink tokens in midair completely, or just use them to quickly reload the Super, and simply use the Bomba de fumaça to go through your opponent’s legs as they cross the play area. Move to the side to avoid the marbles that will fall from the sky and shoot the graceful roulette wheel with Standard Shot.

Eight Fight

Mangosteen

This is the simplest mini boss you will be able to face, keep moving sideways, the animated chalks that will fall from the ceiling and bounce on the playing area have a pattern, try to identify this pattern to predict where they will fall while you do that keep shooting with Guided Shooting. Ocasionalmente, o número 8 ball itself will launch an easily dodged globe of energy at you. Sometimes you’ll be able to use Standard Shot when all is well and sometimes you’ll end the fight in your favor.

With your plane you must Parry the various cards on the bottom trying to make a pair like a Memory Game. Once two figures are paired up, the monkey animates and you can hit him as he moves around in disarray on the battlefield. Repeat this mechanic for all the bottom cards, avoiding the monkey’s movements and the notes it will throw at you sporadically.

Final Fight

King Dice

As soon as you reach the last square of the board, the battle with the King Dice will start immediately, stay alert and don’t let your guard down. The King Dice will only have one attack, he will randomly lower one of his hands at each end of the level and summon a row of cards that will cross the screen. You can dodge them in two ways, parrying the pink cards, or getting behind your hand before it goes all the way down. At the end of each offensive phase you will have to attack the face of the King Dice that will stand out in the center of the level using Standard Shot.

Try to get into this fight with a 5 HP by accumulating bonus hearts from rounds so you can make sure you don’t fail and unfortunately you’ll have to start this long Cuphead Boss Rush from the beginning all over again.

Bônus

One piece of information that may interest only achievement hunters is that in this level there is a secret achievement to be obtained.

To get this achievement you must beat the mini-bosses and then fight King Dice without getting hit once or at least finishing with more than 3 HP
