I’m back with another polish update from the heights of the tower!
New Tips!
To’s all about mastering the craft! To avoid cluttering the gameplay with an extended tutorial, I’ve introduced several new tips:
Apprentice Promotion: Learn about equipping new types of food and drink when an Apprentice advances to a Novice.
Student Potential: A nifty notice will now pop up when promoting students, highlighting their potential.
Clinic Operations: Understand how beds are designed and should be used for effective healing.
Dimensional Door Usage: New tips will guide you on linking Dimensional Doors for efficient transport across the tower.
Achievements Fixes!
Apologies to all players as I had a really silly bug that blocked achievements! This has been repaired and you can squish the Bugbear Shaman to check that one off.
Key Fixes and Enhancements:
- Skill Balancing: All Munitions skills have been switched to Wit, and Combat Expertise has moved to Reason to enhance gameplay balance.
- Building Interface: Removed the scroll wheel from the Build menu. You can now zoom in and out during building—let me know if you miss the old way, and I might add an option back!
- Library and Loading Fixes: Library tasks will now self-heal on load if previously stuck due to corrupt save data.
- Ghostly Students: Those candidate student clones lingering outside the tower? They should be gone now.
- Glossary Completion: Missing pages in the Headmaster’s Office glossary have been retrieved and are back where they belong.
- UI Enhancements: Fixes in job/role editing and order panel prioritization have been implemented to reduce confusion and enhance user experience.
- Portal Room and Merchant Updates: Enhanced functionality with shift + ctrl clicking to quickly modify item quantities.
- Combat Readiness: A new alert will notify you if a mage is attempting to engage in combat unarmed.
Looking Ahead
Save System Enhancements: Introducing access to the last five saves directly from the Load Game screen.
Character Loadouts: I’m exploring the idea of saving specific character sets, especially for Custom Mode.
Auto Order Improvements: Expect refinements for a more intuitive and efficient crafting experience.
