Meeting the Villains

The villain you meet at the beginning of the game seems to be random. If you keep getting the same villain, restart and pick different options at the beginning of the game. The achievement will unlock after the first party.

Meeting Maximin
Have your reputation trampled upon by the vile Baron Maximin de Termes

Meeting Marcelle
Have your good name impugned by the repugnant Viscountess Marcelle de Foix

Revenge on Villains

On Mars 28 you’ll receive a letter from the character who gave you a carriage ride home, this will start the Revenge story line. The party where you’ll get revenge is on Avril 24. You need to complete the story line by this day and make sure to not accept party invitations for this day or you’ll miss the party.

The Full Picture
Get your revenge by painting the predatory Baron Maximin de Termes into a corner he cannot escape from.

Visit the cafe and talk to Marguerite to start the revenge quest line, then complete all of the objectives. If you haven’t already visited the cafe, you’ll need to visit twice before you can talk to Marguerite about Maximin.

Vengeance Unmasked
Get your revenge by revealing Marcelle’s true face.

Visit Fatima to start the quest line, then complete all of the objectives.

Johanna

Turnabout is Fair Play
Destroy Johanna von Holbein in the Trial

This is unlocked during the trial if you have Johanna’s letter and signet ring.

• Sell gossip to Pierre until he reveals The Abandoned Studio.
• In Abandoned Studio: Examine the upstairs, then Investigate the painting hanging above the mantle. You’ll find the letter, a key, and unlock Stranger and Stranger.
• Complete Strange and Stranger to get the signet ring.
• During the trial you’ll present the letter and ring as evidence against Johanna and unlock the achievement.

Love Interests-Related Achievements

To get these achievements you need to complete the romance story line for each character. I recommend saving often so you can reload if you don’t get the right party invitations since they’re random. Each character is slightly different but you can follow this guide for the chapters to make sure you’re on track for the achievement:

Rozdział 1 – Accept invitations for faction parties, talk to them and gain as much favor as possible. You’re doing good if you have rendezvous unlocked by the end of the chapter.

Rozdział 2 – Keep gaining favor and complete all of their story line events up to the “Invitation” wydarzenie.

Rozdział 3 – In the first week of August, you’ll get an invitation from the LI and unlock the final event needed for unlocking the achievement.

The Mistress of Command
Complete the storyline of Madame Gazel, the wealthy widow.

Madame Gazel prefers answers that show she’s in charge and that respect her autonomy.

1. Unwanted Advice – Attend a Bourgeoisie party, if you have enough favor with Madame Gazel this event will be available
2. Bearing Gifts – Happens in Chapter 2 before rendezvous
3. Wise Investments – Happens in Chapter 2 after rendezvous
4. The Eyes of Society – Attend a Bourgeoisie party, if you have enough favor with Madame Gazel this scene will play at the beginning of the party
5. Honorade’s Invitation – At the beginning of Chapter 3 (Aout 3) you’ll get a letter from Madame Gazel and unlock La Maîtresse de Commande on the map
6. La Maîtresse de Commande – Complete to unlock the achievement. DO NOT search her office, or you’ll miss it.

The Ascendant Revolutionary
Complete the storyline of Antoine, the young firebrand.

1. Internal Divisions – Attend a Revolution party, if you have enough favor with Antoine this event will be available
2. Antoine’s Invitation – If you have enough favor on Mai 9, Antoine will send you an invitation and unlock Direct Action on your map
3. Direct Action – Complete the event on the map
4. Old Wounds – Happens in Chapter 2 after rendezvous
5. Taking Risks – Attend a Revolution party, and choose this event A Wish for Deliverance will be unlocked on your map
6. A Wish for Deliverance – Complete this event on your map
7. Dinner Invitation – At the beginning of Chapter 3 (Aout 4) you’ll get a letter from Antoine and unlock L’Ascendant Révolutionnaire on the map
8. L’Ascendant Révolutionnaire – – Complete to unlock the achievement

The Lady of Fine Arts
Complete the storyline of Élisabeth, the royal painter.

Élisabeth prefers answers that are kind/protective and take her feelings into account.

1. Her Muse – Happens in Chapter 2 after rendezvous
2. Courting Controversy – Happens in Chapter 2 after rendezvous
3. Playing Favorites – Attend a Crown party and choose the Playing Favorites incident.
4. Élisabeth’s Invitation – At the beginning of Chapter 3 (Aout 4) you’ll get a letter from Élisabeth and unlock La Dame Des Beaux-Arts on the map
5. La Dame Des Beaux-Arts – Complete to unlock the achievement

The Devotee of Love
Complete the storyline of Ludovico, the lovesick priest.

Ludovico prefers answers that are flirty/bold, you usually get more favor when choosing Peril options.

1. Ludovico’s Invitation – Attend a Church party, if you have enough favor with Ludovico, you’ll get this conversation. Completing it will unlock Clandestine Meetings on your map.
2. Clandestine Meetings – Complete this event on the map.
3. Le Dévot de l’Amour – At the beginning of Chapter 3 (Aout 2), Ludovico will visit your house. The achievement will unlock at the end of the scene.

The Champion of the Weak
Complete the storyline of Alex, the good soldier.

Alex prefers answers that show a love for Paris.

The Réveillon riots on Avril 27 need to end in favor of the Military or Alex will die. Making sure the Military and Crown have more power than the Revolution and Bourgeoisie before Avril 27 should lead to a good outcome.

1. Gentlemanly Demeanor – Happens in Chapter 2 after rendezvous
2. A Storied Lineage – Happens in Chapter 2 after rendezvous
3. A Request for Aid – You’ll receive a letter from Alex and unlock Legacy on your map.
4. Dziedzictwo – Complete the event on your map
5. Alex’s Invitation – At the beginning of Chapter 3 (Aout 3) you’ll get a letter from Alex and unlock Monsieur de L’Humanite on the map
6. Monsieur de L’Humanite – Complete to unlock the achievement

Betrayer
Betray someone in order to help Armand’s plan come to fruition.

Endings-Related Achievements

These achievements are earned by getting a specific ending.

The National Razor
Have your story ended by the guillotine, like so many others…

During the trial reach 100 peril, then play to the credits. There are opportunities during the trial to increase your peril.

A Friend of the Crown
Be so beloved by the Crown that you’re invited to Versailles, after their victory against the Revolution.

The Crown needs to win and you need to have romanced Élisabeth and completed her last story event La Dame Des Beaux-Arts.

An Ally of the People
Be so celebrated by the Revolution, that you’re remembered as a key ally in their struggle, after they successfully overthrow the Crown.

The Revolution needs to win and you need to have romanced Antoine’s and completed his last story event L’Ascendant Révolutionnaire.

Émigré
Flee Paris ahead of a violent uprising that threatens to destroy everything.

W rozdziale 3 choose to flee when given the option. I got this when romancing Alex and the Crown was winning. Ale, there might be other options.
