This guide will tell you how to finish missions in the game and what happens in the story. It’s not about getting achievements. I want to help people who find some parts of the game hard to do what they want. I’ll add more parts as I write them. Have fun!
Act 0 Song 1: Prologue
Missions:
- Help Mommy – You can do this whether you protect your mom or not.
Story Changing Actions:
- Save Mommy (you won the mini-game to protect your mommy)
- Didn’t Save Mommy (you failed the mini-game to protect your mommy)
Act 1 Song 1: I Will Be Here
Missions:
- Play 3 Instruments: First, connect the power cords behind the sound man at the podium. Then, strum or hit the guitars and drums on the stage.
- Leave Your Mark: In the ladies’ restroom, use the paint can to make a mark on the wall.
- Drink the Shots In One Go: After winning at darts, complete the drinking mini-game without stopping. The game will show you how to play, including single presses, repeated presses, and holding down keys. To win, do this for all rounds. (Note: Some say you can win the final round by either holding one button or repeatedly pressing another, but it’s safer to do both simultaneously.)
- Steal Drugs From the Dealer’s Bag: First, decline the dealer’s offer, then go to the sound man at the podium to play your CD. While the music plays, the dealer goes to the bathroom. Click on his bag when you notice someone watching you. Tell them their car is getting towed, and once they leave, you can open the dealer’s bag and take the drugs.
- Turn Off the Lights: After playing your CD at the sound man’s podium, go to the right side of the stage and find the power cables near the keg. Unplug them from the wall to turn off the lights. (This helps you find a note under the podium after the sound man leaves to fix the lights.)
- Find A Way To Unlock the Restroom: Right after playing your CD at the sound man’s podium, go to the men’s restroom door and click it to realize it’s locked. Then, ask the waitress to unlock it. She’ll take a moment, so don’t wait too long after starting the music.
- Hit 5 Bullseyes Without Missing: Zoom in with a right-click and throw darts with a left-click when the crosshairs are on the green bullseye. Take your time; there’s no rush. Despite the camera shaking, you won’t miss if you aim when the crosshairs are on the green bullseye. You have unlimited darts, so you can keep trying.
- Order A Beer: After playing your CD at the sound man’s podium, go to the bartender and order a beer.
- Sit On the Sofa: After playing your CD at the sound man’s podium, go to the empty couch against the middle wall in the bar and sit down to reflect.
Story Changing Actions:
- Flirt With Dealer or Rejected Dealer: You can choose to flirt with the dealer or reject their advances in a dialogue selection.
- Won Fight With Dealer or Lost Fight With Dealer: You’ll have a choice in a confrontation with the dealer. You can either fight back more vigorously or use the bar patrons to protect yourself.
Act 1 Song 2: Beauty and the Beast
Missions:
- Open the Bird Chest: Go to the dresser and open it to find scissors. Use the scissors to cut the key from around Ari’s neck while he’s sleeping. Then, use the key on the small wooden box atop the mini-fridge on the other side of the bed.
- Collect Things: After Ari kicks you out of the bedroom, quickly gather your belongings: your purse from the nearby table, keys on the kitchen counter, and a credit card from the couch near the TV.
- Leave the Penthouse: Once you’ve collected your things, exit through the door as indicated in the game.
- Get In the Elevator: After leaving the penthouse, move swiftly down the hall and press the elevator call button on the right side of the elevator door. The elevator is slow, so act fast. Even if Ari throws you out of the penthouse, you can still reach the elevator by running.
- Get Money for Ari: You can achieve this by filling coffee cups and collecting payments or by stealing from the register when you distract your boss (either by burning the glove or clogging the toilet). Note that if you explore Ari’s nightstand drawer before he wakes up, you’ll see a drug ledger with $60 next to your name. If you take the drugs from Ari’s penthouse, you’ll need to earn $60 at work. If you don’t take the drugs or take them from the bird box after obtaining the key, you only need to earn $30 at the diner.
- Get Revenge on the Slapper: Take the coffee pot and go behind the jukebox to a table with two men. Pour coffee into the left man’s mug, and he will slap you. You can then pour coffee directly on him.
- Clog the Toilet: In the women’s restroom, enter a toilet stall, take the toilet paper from the septic tank’s top, and click the toilet seat.
- Burn the Glove: Pick up the oven glove from the kitchen stove. Find the stove you can interact with to the right of the glove and click it.
- Collect Clothes: You need a shirt and shoes. The shirt is in the large upright closet near the sink, and the shoes are under the sink.
- Open the Vent: Go through the white door near your sleeping father and open the glove box in front of the passenger seat to get a screwdriver. Then, look above the dining table across from the sink for a long rectangular box on the ceiling and click the vent above the table to open it. Collect the letter inside.
- Pack Up Clothes: Once you have your shirt and shoes, go to the bedroom at the back and put them in the bag on the floor. Collecting the drugs under the bed is optional.
Story Changing Actions:
- Got Out of Penthouse (collected your things and left in time) or Didn’t Leave Penthouse (if you waited too long).
- Got to Elevator or Didn’t Get to Elevator (regardless of how you left the penthouse).
- Distracted Boss (distract him to steal money) or (Not Listed).
- Got Ari’s Money (collected enough cash or stole it) or Didn’t Get Ari’s Money.
- Packed Bag (collected your clothes and put them in the bag) or Didn’t Pack Bag.
- Ran Away From Father (completed the mini-game to hold the bedroom door shut) or Got Thrown Out.
Act 1 Song 3: The Time Has Come
Missions:
- Get to the Yard: When asked to go left or right, turn right at the intersection. Make it to the door and complete the mini-game to open it before the sound man, Bres, catches you.
- Get to the Roof: Choose to turn left at the intersection. Go up the stairs and reach the door. Complete the mini-game to open it before Bres catches you.
- Release the Bird (On the Roof): Click the white-outlined bird silhouette on the roof’s wall. Open the box on the ground nearby to get a screwdriver. Go to the fence that surrounds the bird on the other side of the roof and activate the large power generator to the right. Then, place the screwdriver in the microwave on the ground. Wait for the explosion to enter the fence and release the bird.
- Release the Bird (In the Yard): Go to the far end of the yard and collect the coffee pot. Fill it with water from the faucet against the wall. Run to the opposite side of the yard from the faucet and pour water on the circuit breaker to make the wire catch fire. This will cause the cage to fall, freeing the bird.
- Light the Paint Bucket On Fire (In the Yard): Interact with a red paint can. Click it to open the lid in a quick mini-game. Once the lid is open, clicking the can again will cause it to spontaneously combust. (Note: The use of this paint can is unclear.)
- Fill the Coffee Pot With Water: Collect the coffee pot at the far end of the yard and fill it with water from the faucet against the wall.
- Light the Garbage Bag on Fire (On the Roof): Interact with a garbage bag on the roof, which spontaneously combusts when picked up. (The purpose of this garbage bag is uncertain.)
- Create an Explosion With a Microwave (On the Roof): Open the box on the ground near the bird silhouette outlined in white paint on the wall. Collect the screwdriver. Go to the fence surrounding the bird on the other side of the roof and activate the large power generator to the right. Then, place the screwdriver in the microwave on the ground. Wait for the explosion.
Story Changing Actions:
- Failed to Run Away (got caught by Bres), Ran Away to Roof (chose to go left at the intersection), or Ran Away to Yard (chose to go right at the intersection).
- Released Bird or (Not Listed).
Act 1 Song 4: Wolf Pack
Missions:
- Get Over the Wall: Move the three movable objects (cube, TV, and table) to the stone wall. Each will automatically position itself when you get close to the wall, creating stairs. Jump onto them to climb over the wall. Remember to backtrack through the fire for each object.
- Put Out the Fire: Look straight up as bottles of water fall from the sky. Position yourself under a falling bottle, click, and hold to catch it. Walk with the bottle to the fire, holding it until the fire shatters the bottle. Repeat this process three times. (Note: Some suggest you can catch bottles falling next to you from the side, but it might be easier to catch them by looking straight up.)
- Get the Key: There is a key on the ground next to your body. Navigate around the crows to the floating stuffed animals near the door. Grab one of the floating dolls and return to the fire wall. Hold the stuffed animal in the flames until it catches fire, then approach the crows. Hold the flaming doll until the crows disperse, then drop it and collect the key.
- Find a Light Source (In the Car): In the car, locate the overhead light between the two seats you’re looking through. Point your camera toward the car radio and move it straight up. Click to turn on the light.
Story Changing Actions:
- There don’t seem to be any story-changing actions in this segment. You cannot catch the bird or win the mini-game to run away from the car.
Act 1 Song 5: Break You
Missions:
- Wake Up Remy: Pick up the bucket located near the middle of the room. Fill the bucket with water from the faucet near the white-outlined bird silhouette on the wall. Take the filled bucket to the spot near Remy as indicated in the game, and then click on Remy to wake him up.
- Find a Code: Use the code “2732” to unlock the locked box near Remy. Unfortunately, it’s unclear where this code can be found or guessed within the game.
- Unlock the Locker: Collect the tweezers from the table and approach the tall, locked locker. Complete a challenging mini-game three times where you must hold a button while single-pressing different buttons to pick the lock.
- Look At the Bird: Click on the bird silhouette outlined in white paint on the wall.
- Look At Bres Through Keyhole: Go to the large double doors and click on the keyhole to observe Bres.
- Defend Yourself: Engage in a challenging fight. Please note that winning this fight may be difficult, and the outcome might not be favorable.
Story Changing Actions:
- Lost Fight: The outcome of the fight is usually a loss, and Remy may not fare well if you lose.
