The loadout
Primary Weapons:
- R201: This gun works well at any distance. The extra ammo it has means you don’t have to hit your shots as precisely.
- Wingman: The best pistol choice.
- Anti-Titan Gear: Cloak: Useful for sneaky rodeos and escaping danger.
- Thunderbolt: Great for dealing massive damage to groups of Titans.
- Titan Hunter: Helps you earn your Titan quickly, sometimes just two Thunderbolts do the trick.
- Use Battery Boost for more Titan support.
Satchels are handy for clearing out groups of Grunts.
Strategy Tips
The main idea is to spend as little time outside your Titan as possible. Titan Hunter, Thunderbolt, Cloak, and Battery Boost will get your Titan ready fast. (Share batteries with teammates to speed up Titan cooldown.) Focus on Titans and Grunts, and only engage other Pilots when necessary. I’ve even won Titan 1v1s, ejected onto an enemy Titan, and called in a new Titan before the other Pilot hit the ground after ejecting. I enjoy playing as Ronin because he’s fast and excellent at taking down Pilots, but you can choose another Titan if you prefer. (If you play as Ronin, use his block ability for survival.)
Using this strategy, I’ve managed to top the scoreboard even when my teammates had over 30 doden. Titan takedowns earn you a lot of points, and don’t forget you can squish Grunts too!
