Here’s how I view relic quality in multiplayer games, though these ideas can usually translate to single-player games as well. Houd er rekening mee, I’m still getting the hang of Troon van de hel, so my opinions might not be gospel. I’ve listed relics without any specific ranking within tiers.
S-niveau
- Crown of Bureaucracy: This item rocks in the early game, giving you a whopping 50% more actions. It’s super versatile and powerful. Even if you naturally reach six orders, it still gives you over 30 extra orders throughout the game. It might need a downside in the future because it’s hard to argue against picking it.

- Amulet of Archer’s Precision: Ranged combat reigns supreme, and prophecy is always handy. Perfect with Lilith, but any leader can benefit from it.
- Amulet of Charisma: Rushing Charisma to level 4 is easy, and the boosts it provides are super helpful. Ideal for Beelzebub, Lilith, or Murmur, especially if they start at 0 charisma.
- Amulet of Destruction: Who doesn’t love spamming duels for prestige? Now imagine spamming legion vendettas and wiping them out from afar. Not the best against Erzsebet’s healing bonus. Great with Mammon, Belial, or Erzsebet.
- Amulet of Opulence: Gives a solid income boost, like having half a prestige rank that nicely stacks with others. A safe and effective choice.
- Amulet of Soldier’s Vigor: Perfect for combat-focused games. While Wrath might be the weakest stat overall, the extra healing is nice, and high-level stratagems are super powerful. Best with Astaroth or Erzsebet.
- Ring of the Loyal Servant: Offers a fantastic early power boost if you’re keen on capturing POPs and demanding tribute as soon as possible.
B-niveau
- Crown of Authority: Ranking up faster gives a solid income boost, but it also paints a target on your back.
- Crown of Alacrity: Offers good value, but doesn’t directly contribute to winning fights despite getting you there faster.
- Amulet of Deceit: Deceit might not shine early game, but this allows for spamming resource stealing to slow down the leading opponent. Ideal for Astaroth, Mammon, or Murmur.
- Amulet of Nobility: Starting with a 50% income bonus is nice, but it’s achievable naturally within the first 10 draait. Ook, it makes you an obvious target.
- Amulet of Prophecy: Prophecy levels aren’t very useful early on, but rushing to level 4 prophecy is easier. Best for Astaroth, Andromalius, Erzsebet, or Beelzebub.
- Amulet of Sorcerer’s Blight: Among the combat boosting amulets, it’s the weakest but still useful. Great with Murmur or Beelzebub.
- Ring of Tyranny: Increases your chances of avoiding a 1-value token. Works well with Mammon and the Amulet of Opulence. A decent secondary relic with any amulet.
C-niveau
- Crown of Intolerance: A fun concept, but it may put you behind in actual combat potential compared to other relics.
- Amulet of Intimidation: Can accumulate a lot of bonus prestige, but your opponents must feel compelled to accept your demands.
- Amulet of Wrath: Early levels of wrath are minimal, and leveling it to 4 is tough. Best with Lilith, Andromalius, or Belial. Not recommended.
- Ring of Glory: Decent secondary with a combat boosting amulet, but raw power boosts are preferred.
- Ring of Spectacle: Ideal for Andromalius, not recommended for others.
- Ring of Tartarology: With the current state favoring Seek Manuscripts drawing only praetor skills, it’s not advised. Still fun if you like gambling.
- Ring of the Arcane: A meta pick against destruction spamming opponents or if you intend to do so yourself. Combos well with Amulet of Destruction or Sorcerer’s Blight.
- Ring of the Liar: Worth it if you’re all in on deceit rituals. Anders, it’s not very valuable. Decent combo with Amulet of Deceit.
- Ring of the Seer: Similar to Ring of the Arcane but for deceit counterplay. Nog steeds, better options exist for defense like Expose Treason.
D-niveau
- Crown of the Administrator: Not very playable in my opinion. It’s better to go for combat-boosting relics to capture POPs earlier and gain extra prestige that way.
- Ring of Command: Investing heavily in legions can be a trap, as you’ll spend all your orders just moving units around. It’s better to focus on leveling wrath.
- Ring of Renewal: It’s more effective to avoid damage altogether or level wrath for extra healing. Particularly ineffective with Erzsebet.
- Ring of the Collector: Arguably the weakest relic in the game. Avoid taking this.
- Ring of Unnatural Prescience: You won’t draw enough events to make this worthwhile, and if you do, casting them before your turn as regent comes around again is a better strategy. Its only real value is to hold onto particularly nasty events you don’t want to be hit by.
Unranked
- Crown of the Kingmaker: Extremely potent if you can predict within the first 10 turns who’s going to win and avoid being targeted by them. Echter, there’s a risk if they catch onto your strategy.
- Crown of the Power Behind the Throne: Seems nearly impossible to win with in a real game. Competent players won’t accept a blood vassal offer without scrying your relics first.
