If you’re playing Onigiri on Linux and want to increase the in-game screen resolution, this guide is exclusively made for you. Read on as we guide you through the step-by-step process on how to increase the Onigiri resolution.
Pre-Requisites
- Turn on Steam Play (Proton).
- Download the newest Proton-GE with Protonup.
- Switch the Proton version for each game to use the latest Proton-GE.
AMD FSR
Resolution and Quality
AMD’s FSR, or FidelityFX Super Resolution, does its magic by making the game run at a lower resolution first. This helps the game perform better. Daarna, clever AI steps in to make the image look all nice and sharp at the resolution you actually want. AMD suggests specific resolutions based on your screen size. Let’s say your screen is 1920×1080, and you fancy the Quality preset. Daarvoor, set your in-game resolution to 1280 X 720. Want to spice things up? You can toss in a little extra with WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_STRENGTH. It’s like adding extra seasoning for the sharpness of FSR. You get to pick a number from 0 naar 5, waar 0 is super sharp, en 5 is a bit more chill. If you don’t pick a number, it defaults to 2.

Setup Steam Launch Options
