Not For Broadcast Simplified Epilogue Guide

Er zijn 14 epilogues, but they come from combinations of only a few key factors. Unmasked spoilers ahead!

Key Factors

Jeremy’s fate
Whether Jeremy Donaldson dies during Broadcast 6 (“The Heatwave”). To save him, cut to commercials when told by Jenny near the end of Segment 3. To kill him, wait until he pulls the trigger before cutting to commercials.

Alan’s fate
Whether Disrupt’s attack succeeds during Broadcast 8 (“The Uprising”). To save Alan James, do as he says throughout the broadcast. To kill him, refrain from helping him.

Public opinion
Whether the public opinion favors Advance or Disrupt. Public opinion is influenced by your editorial choices such as headlines, selective censoring, and alternate broadcasts through interference. Note the world view indicators at the end of each broadcast.

Tape
In Segment 3 of Broadcast 9 (“The Finale”), you’ll be given the choice of whether or not to play a videotape. It’ll be shown through one of the cameras feeds. To play the tape, switch to that feed when the countdown shown on that feed hits zero. Once the moment passes, all camera feed monitors will blackout for a moment, and your choice of whether or not to play the tape is locked in. If you chose to play the tape, you can now show reaction shots from the studio without affecting your choice.

Combination of factors
Dat is 4 binary factors, which make 16 combinations. Echter, in some scenarios, the epilogue is the same regardless of public opinion, and there’s one case where a unique epilogue is obtained when the public opinion is neutral. With these adjustments, the number of unique epilogues is 14.

Efficiently Unlock All Epilogues

Remember that you can make a copy of a save file by splitting from a checkpoint, which is made at the start and end of every broadcasts and between segments. Using this mechanic you can reach all epilogues without replaying the whole game 14 keer.

Tape
Varying this factor is easy; just replay segment 3 of broadcast 9.

Jeremy and Alan
Split the timeline at Broadcast 6 for Jeremy, and at Broadcast 8 for Alan.

Public opinion
This factor is built on all your choices from all broadcasts, and thus may be hard to change in the last few broadcasts.

Putting it together

• Beginnen met 2 saves, one favoring Advance and one favoring Disrupt.
• Split all saves at Broadcast 6, making 4 in totaal.
• Split again at Broadcast 8, resulting in 8 saves.
• For each, play to the end, and then replay the final segment if necessary.

“The Middle Ground” may be hard to get with this strategy. You can start from scratch to manage public opinion, or make one branch only slightly leaning to one side, and split off a new branch at Broadcast 8 and nudge public opinion back to neutral.

Anderzijds, if you’re confident that you can shift public opinion with only the final few broadcasts, you can split for public opinion later in the game, saving yourself some work.
