About This Guide
Er zijn 8 different medicinal plants to be found throughout the world. With a good enough Intel team, they can notify you of any nearby plants and they will be temporarily marked on your map. Selecting DD as your buddy will also allow him to help you discover plants. Leaving the area will remove the icon from your map, but picking the plant will save it permanently on your map. The plants regrow after you complete a few missions, so you can farm plants while attempting other goals.
Unfortunately the detection systems aren’t all that great and even at plant surveying rank A (my current Intel level is 95) the updates don’t seem to appear until you’re within 40m of any given plant. And DD will infrequently discover plants, and sometimes they’re 150m behind you as you’re running away from them. Ook, you’ll even be notified by your Intel team or DD finding plants you’ve already located and marked on your map. So I thought these maps would be useful to anyone looking to have a map with all markers or anyone looking to farm specific plants.
The maps use the topographical image, facing North, since it’s the default view.
If multiple plants of the same kind are in one spot, they are marked with “x2” or however many plants are there, directly to the right of that plant icon. For multiple different plants in one spot, they’re marked with a generic plant icon and a letter, with an additional key denoting the species and number of all plants at that location.
Each map will be accompanied by an index of what plants are available and in what quantities in that area to confirm parity with the maps, and if you’re looking for something specific you can CTRL+F search.
Algemeen, it’s easier to farm in the Angola-Zaire region as there are a good deal more plants overall and it’s easier to navigate as it’s mostly open instead of having to walk around all the mountains and cliffs in Afghanistan.

This is what all the plants look like in the field. Because the icons don’t always appear in a timely enough manner to use markers, if you’re having trouble spotting plants in the midst of all the other greenery, you can use your NVG to make them stand out a bit more.

I scoured each area 4-5 times to try and ensure I got all plants to show up. But due to the nature of the less than great surveying mechanics, even after walking around inside and outside one outpost for 10 notulen, I would sometimes still find new plants the next day when I revisited. Dus, if I missed any plants, please let me know and I’ll do my best to get it updated quickly.

Hoi. Just wanted to let you know of one you’ve missed for Afghanistan: it’s a Black Carrot plant along the west road outside of Nova Braga Airport. There’s obviously a huge bunch at the west entrance to the airport, but going north, up the road, will find you a Black Carrot plant just at the edge of the road. With D-Dog, you can’t miss it.
