If you want to know how to solve the door puzzles in Hogwarts Legacy then all you need to do is count to nine as simple math will do the job. The creature drawings and odd dice mechanisms might look complicated at first but once you understand what the strange symbols mean it’s just a case of adding a couple of numbers to reveal the secrets!
Find the cipher page
- Travel to the Divination Classroom Floo Flame within the Library Annex.
- Turn around and head back through the door behind you along the wooden walkway.
- When you reach a junction, take a right turn and go along until you see a small landing with a chalkboard next to a puzzle door.
- Look to the right of the chalkboard and you’ll see a blue box. Search it and you’ll find the cipher page.
Magical Beasts & Numerical Values
The cipher itself explains that each of the magical beasts around the outside of the puzzle doors in
Zweinstein erfenishas a numerical value.
Essentially you can count around the edge of the door but just remember to start with zero.
- 0 = Demiguise
- 1 = Unicorn
- 2 = Dragon
- 3 = Runespoor
- 4 = Owl
- 5 = Quintaped
- 6 = Salamander
- 7 = Grindylow
- 8 = Acromantula (Spin)
- 9 = Hydra
Now just make the numbers at the tips of the triangle equal the larger number in the center of the circle!
