Hammerwatch II – Apprentice Herian Adventurer Enchanting Guide

This guide offers a quick introduction to enchanting for Apprentice Herian Adventurers and serves as a handy reference for Master Adventurers. It specifically emphasizes the advantages of using components for enchantments and does not cover random enchantments. Please note that this is the ultimate and only version of this guide.

De basis

When and Where Can I Enchant?

You can enchant your gear in the Royal City of Aventurine, located just south of the main square and northeast of the lake. Look for the enchanter, symbolized by an axe on the minimap. You gain unlimited access to this enchanter after leaving Hammer Island, the starting area.

What Can I Enchant?

You’re free to enchant items you can equip, zoals:

• Mainhand Weapons: Enhance damage and penetration.
• Head Armor: Boost spell bonuses and acquire new skills.
• Chest Armor: Reinforce physical defense.
• Hands Armor: Gain attack bonuses.
• Feet Armor: Enjoy movement bonuses.
• Accessoires: Enhance resistance.
• Offhand Weapons: These can be enchanted, but not with components (more on this below).

Gewoon (wit) and uncommon (groente) equipment are eligible for enchantment, while rarer gear comes pre-enchanted.

How Do I Enchant?

Enchanting requires several components:

• Apparatuur: The gear you want to enchant.
• Goud: Gathered from various sources, primarily quests and commerce.
• Elven Runes: These come in Lesser and Greater forms. Disenchant uncommon (groente) gear for Lesser Runes and rare (blauw) gear for Greater Elven Runes. They can also be found as drops or in secret rooms.
• Components (optioneel): Diverse enchanting components, often obtained as enemy drops. Use them to influence the enchantment outcome for customized gear, focusing on aspects like armor improvement or health regeneration.

Things to Keep in Mind

• This guide emphasizes controlled enchantments. Echter, you’ll encounter uncommon and rare items with fixed enchantments.
• In the enchantment interface, avoid selecting a component if you want a random enchantment. Gold and runes alone will do the job.
• If you accidentally select a component, right-click it to remove it from the slot without closing the interface.

• Offhand equipment, including shields, orbs, Messen gooien, bows, and tomes, can be enchanted but not with components, resulting in random enchantments. Some players believe that offering skill bonuses to offhand equipment would have been a more mechanically fitting choice than head equipment.

Enchanted with additional damage and come with the associated armor penetration

Enchanted with bonuses to Spells or new skills, some defensive bonuses.

• IJzererts: + Pantser; Blocks 5 Physical damage.
• Hardened Nails: Return 10 Physical damage to the attacker when taking damage
• Maggot Gland:Vaardigheid: Acid Spit
  • Schieten 5 acid projectiles in a ~30 degree arc straight ahead, omgaan 25 poison damage
• Wasp Stinger: Casting a Spell fires a stinger projectile at a random enemy
• Spider Silk: Vaardigheid: Spew Web
  • Schieten 3 web projectiles in a line straight ahead, inflicting Slow on impact. Long range.
• Botmaaltijd: Scoring a kill has a 25% chance of summoning a crawler
• Troll Skin: 50% increased Attack damage on Low Health
• Archon Essence: Vaardigheid: Essence Nova
  • Release a burst of 9 projectiles that spiral out from you, omgaan 80 Fire and Pure damage.

• Hardened Nails: Return 10 Physical damage to the attacker when taking damage
• Boar Tusk: 25% Reduce damage on Low Health
• Troll Skin: 200% increased Health Regen on Low Health
• Black Heart + 15% Ontduiking; 5% increased damage taken

Hands Equipment

Enchanted with bonuses to Attack with some defensive options

• IJzererts: + Pantser; Blocks 5 Physical damage.
• Hardened Nails: Return 10 Physical damage to the attacker when taking damage
• Wolf Liver: 1% Attack Stamina Leech
• Wasp Stinger: Attacking has a 20% chance to fire a stinger at a random enemy
• Botmaaltijd: 2.5% Attack Life Leech
• Ectoplasma: 1% Attack Mana Leech
• Shambler Claw: Attacks have a 10% chance to strike a different nearby enemy with a bolt of lightning dealing 25 lightning damage
• Black Heart: 20%increased Attack damage; 5% increased damage taken

Enchanted with bonuses to Movement or defense

• IJzererts: + Pantser; Blocks 5 Physical damage.
• Hardened Nails: Return 10 Physical damage to the attacker when taking damage
• Wolf Liver: + Stamina Regen; +15% Movement Speed when on Full Health
• Spider Silk: + Movement Speed; Slow effects reduced by 25%

These are accessory type-specific, but generally they’re enchanted with bonuses to Resistance or Health Regen

Head Equipment: Vaardigheid: Acid Spit – Spits gobs of acid dealing 25 poison damage. 3s cooldown.

Wasp Stinger

Head Equipment: Casting a Spell fires a stinger at a random enemy
