Dune Spice Wars – Assassination Operation Guide and Tips

Changes to how you do secret missions in the game made it a bit harder to understand. This guide explains how to do secret missions in version 1.0 in a simple way.

Infiltration cells

Before you begin a secret mission, you should create secret agent groups in the enemy’s area. Once your secret agent group is ready, pick one of the enemy’s towns to place them. Make sure it’s a town near your own territory so you can watch it closely.

Each secret agent group you place will give you more spots for your agents in the enemy’s team, and each agent you place will help your secret mission. If you lose a secret agent group, you can’t put another one down if you’re already doing a secret mission.

The operation

Once you start the secret mission, the enemy has a chance every day to find out about it. From what I’ve seen, they usually figure it out, usually when it’s about 20-40% klaar. When they discover it, the mission’s progress goes back to zero. The mission also costs you money and information every day, even if it’s not making progress.

When the enemy figures out the mission, they can do things to stop it and send troops to find your agent groups. If they find them, your agents might get caught.

The mission’s progress will go back to zero, and it won’t ever finish. To start making progress again, you need to send some help to your agents, like the Assassin.

You need to research a tech called “Tier 2” to be able to recruit the Assassin.

Het kost 200 information, but it’s not clear how the Assassin helps with the secret mission. That’s kind of disappointing.

It’ll cost you 200 information to get the mission back on track, but the enemy might catch your Assassin. Dus, make sure the enemy’s towns don’t have many troops.

Once you have the Assassin ready, just select him and click on the enemy’s town that has one of your agent groups.

If you can get the mission back to 100%, the long-running Atreides-Harkonnen feud might finally end.
