Core Keeper Food Buff Guide (Lapje 3.8)

Plant/Meat Buffs

With perk buff duration extended + only discussing golden plants and not lower tiered.

1. Golden Glow Tulip gives 10.5 glow + 4.35% attack speed at epic tier
2. Golden Heart Berry gives 75% max hp + 6.6 hp/sec for 20 sec + 26.65% melee damage at epic tier
3. Golden Larva Meat gives 25% critical hit chance + 6 life on melee hit at epic tier
4. Golden Bomb Pepper gives 40.35% movement speed + 4.5% melee attack speed at epic tier
5. Golden Carrock gives 39 pantser + 13.5% chance to knockback at epic tier
6. Golden Puffingi gives 16.5% reduced damage taken from bosses + 5.85 hp/sec for 20 sec + 21% damage against bosses at epic tier

Opmerking: The following plants/meat below can be used for cooking along with other fishes, Echter, they do not give big enough buffs compared to their counter part fishes that gives higher value in buffs.

1. Golden Heart Berry – 75 max hp + 6.6 hp/sec for 20 sec + 25.65% melee damage at epic tier
   Reason: The main reason why I say not to use this is because 2/3 buffs it has are way better on Mold Shark 57.9% melee damage) + Azure Feather Fish (12.2 hp/sec for 20 sec). Echter, if you are looking to temporary boost your max hp, this is the best consumable in game that will give you a whooping 75 temporary max hp.
2. Golden Bomb Pepper – 40.35% movement speed + 4.5% melee attack speed at epic tier
   Reason: This item is just as common as the golden heart berry when you get to max level gardening. Echter, I believe this should be use for making bombs and other things in game. Spirit Veil fish gives a disgusting amount of 54.3% movement speed at epic tier and Pink Palace Fish gives a slightly bit more melee attack speed 4.95% at epic tier.

FISH BUFFS

With perk buff duration extended.

• Astral jelly gives 94 fishing at epic tier (7min 30 sec)
• Spirit Veil gives 54.3% movement speed at epic tier (1min 18 sec)
• Pink Palace Fish gives 5% melee attack speed at epic tier (7min 30 sec)
• Devil Worm gives 34.2% range damage at epic tier(7min 30 sec)
• Black Sea Urchin gives 33 pantser + 22 thorn damage at epic tier (7min 30 sec)
• Teal Palace Fish gives 5.7% range attack speed at epic tier (7min 30 sec)
• Blue Cave Guppy gives 8% dodge at epic tier (7min 30 sec)
• Orange Cave Guppy gives 12 mining damage at epic tier (7min 30 sec)
• Azure Feather Fish gives 12.2 hp/second at epic tier (20 sec)
• Mold Shark gives 57.9% melee damage at epic tier (7min 30 sec)
• Rot Fish gives 30 sec immunity to mold at epic tier (30 sec)

Opmerking: The following fishes below does not give a big enough impact at end game to be used EVEN at epic tier versions of their buff (personal opinion)

• Green Blister Head – Immune to acid damage for 30 seconde
  Reason: You do not need this if you are in end game level. Echter, if we do encounter bosses/enemies that deals acid damage as base damage, this will be great!
• Yellow Blister Head – Immune to being slowed by slime for 30 seconde
  Reason: End game level you can have around 198%-200% movement speed. You can outrun things in Mold Dungeon and Slime Grounds
• Rock Jaw – 3.75 hp/sec + 23.85% melee damage for 7 mins and 30 seconde
  Reason: We got Mold Shark that gives 57.9% melee damage, you do not need this Rock Jaw anymore. Verder, we have things that gives better hp per second (azure feather fish)
• Gem Crab – 21 armor for 7 mins and 30 seconden
  Reason: Golden Carrock plants will give you more armor (39 amor). Black Sea Urchin will give you also more armor (33 pantser) en 22 (thorn dmg)
• Vampire Eel – 4.5 life melee on hit for 7 mins and 30 seconde + 5.25 hp/sec for 20 sec
  Reason: Golden Larva meat will give you 6 life melee on hit + 24% crit chance. Also Azure feather fish will give you 12.2 hp per second for 20 seconden
• Crown Squid – 15% chance to knockback for 7 mins and 30 seconden.
  Reason: No in-game content that requires knockback yet.
• Emerald Feather Fish – 10.% crit chance for 7 min 30 sec + 43.5% max hp for 7 mins and 30 sec
  Reason: This fish by no means is a slacker. It is the only fish in game that gives temporary max hp buff. Echter, do you need to use this? Nee, the golden heart berry gives you 75 max HP for 7 mins and 30 sec. Also better to use Heart Berry for potions.
• Black Steel Urchin – 33 pantser + 22.5 thorn dmg for 7 mins and 30 sec.
  Reason: Subjective to use this fish really. Golden carrock will give you more armor boost. Thorn damage isn’t helpful just yet in terms of gameplay, making it useless buff in my opinion.

Cooking Example

One of the more popular dishes that can be easily crafted is the Mold Shark gives 57.9% melee damage at epic tier (7min 30 sec) + Golden Puffingi gives 16.5% reduced damage taken from bosses + 5.85 hp per sec for 20 sec + 21% damage against bosses at epic tier

The result would be:

Epic Moldy Mold Cheese:

• + 48 Voedsel
• + 16% reduced dmg taken from bosses
• + 7.2% hp/sec for 26 sec
• + 21% dmg against bosses for 1 min 18 sec
• + 57.9% melee damage for 7 min 30 sec

Tips

1. Combine different fish + plants with different buffs to maximize the utility of your food.
2. Try not to combine things with the same buff, it will just be redundant and it will not stack.
3. Knowing this guide, plan ahead and save your best fishes/golden plants for the best combo.
4. For early-mid game use Normal Bomb pepper + normal heart berry to create hearty pepper wrap. Vertrouw me, you get lots of these when you start farming.
