Castle in the Clouds – Hoe te verkrijgen “In the initial HP” Prestatie

This guide is to educate and assist with attaining the “In the initial HP” achievement for Castle in the Clouds.

• Clear the game without picking up a physical heart item in the playthrough.
• You can increase HP by buying it at the Inn for 10,000 gold per 10 HP.

Recommendation

You can get this achievement on your first playthrough or on a playthrough after clearing the game. The following is my recommendation for getting the achievement after clearing the game.

Once you clear the game, jij kunt “GAME START” a new playthrough. After selecting your weapon, you will be in a room with many wizards and chests containing bonuses (or cheats) to use in your new playthrough. Break open all six chests in the room

1. Become financially free (start with 999,999 munt)
2. Power of thieves (be able to switch to Thief),
3. Obtain inhuman abilities (start with all around 99 points in each stat, dependent on starting weapon)
4. Power of arcane soldier (be able to switch to Arcane Soldier)
   • Increase INT for stronger shots
   • Increase AGI for run faster
5. Obtain all weapons (start with all weapons to swap between)
6. Obtain all ability granting items (start with all non-heart, passive items)

By opening all the cheats and using the cheats, you can now progress through the game swiftly. Remember to AVOID picking up heart upgrades in the levels.

Primarily use Arcane Soldier to deal massive damage through her projectile attacks. With the Magic Tome ability, her projectiles will home in on enemies. As you gain levels, increase your INT and AGI. You might consider increasing CON if you want to build your defense, though later enemies can one-shot you anyway if you don’t buy HP at the inn.

Speaking of buying HP, Gebruik de 999,999 coins to buy HP from the Inn and Medicine from the Shop. Op deze manier, you’ll have more of a buffer when fighting specifically the final boss, as all of her attacks do more than 200 damage even if you have 330 DEF.

There are certain sections in the game that must be progressed through by Lily, as neither the Arcane Soldier nor Thief can use the wall- or ceiling-climb abilities. There is a section three rooms before the final boss where you should use Thief to bounce up and fall down the walls because she can easily move past the slimes walking on the walls.

When fighting the final boss, you can start by attacking with Arcane Soldier to destroy the boss’s gauntlets. Once the gauntlets break, switch to Lily unless you have enough HP and Medicine to tank the fire damage with Arcane Soldier. Since Lily is the only character able to ceiling-climb, only she can hold onto the platforms and not fall into the fire. With Lily, use the Magic Staff weapon with the Magic Tome ability to fire homing bullets at the boss.

Zoals eerder vermeld, the boss’s attacks do one-hit kill damage if you only have 100 HP. It is incredibly difficult to dodge the blue and red fire-/raindrops in this fight, so I highly recommend having buffer HP for this fight.

Defeat the final boss, and then destroy the core. If you have not picked up a Heart health item upgrade up through this point, you should get the achievement.

Writer’s Anecdote

Once I made it to the final boss, I spent 40-60 minutes attempting to defeat her at 100 HP. I warped back to the Inn to 1)buy HP and 2)confirm if doing so would still allow me to get the achievement.

The HP increase from the Inn indeed still permitted me to get the achievement once I made it to the end of the game.

This playthrough as detailed above took around 2 hours and 15 minutes with the aforementioned 40-60 minutes of 100-HP final boss attempts. Provided you are familiar with the map and progression of the game, it should take you less than 2 uur (maybe even a few minutes over 1 uur).
