Brawlhalla – All Weapon Guide and Combo Tricks

Here I have collected all the true combos you will find useful in the game.

Relevant PATCH 7.04

Terminology

True Combo is a type of a string where there are no dodge frames between attacks.

Light Attacks

• Neutral Light [NLight] – the attack performed by pressing the light attack button while standing on the ground and not pressing a direction or, in certain configurations, holding up.
• Side Light [SLight] – the attack performed by pressing the light attack button while standing on the ground while holding left or right.
• Down Light [DLight] – the attack performed by pressing the light attack button while standing on the ground and holding the down button.

Light Aerial Attacks

• Neutral Air [NAir] – the attack performed by pressing the light attack button while airborne and either not pressing a direction or while holding up.
• Side Air [SAir] – the attack performed by pressing the light attack button while airborne and holding either left or right.
• Down Air [DAir] – the attack performed by pressing the light attack button while airborne and holding the down button.

Heavy Attacks (Signatures)

• Signature – same as Heavy attack. Each Legend has six unique Signatures.
• Neutral Sig [NSig] – the attack performed by pressing the heavy attack button while standing on the ground and not pressing a direction or, in certain configurations, holding up.
• Side Sig [SSig] – the attack performed by pressing the heavy attack button while standing on the ground and holding left or right. This will be one of the Legend’s signature moves if holding a weapon.
• Down Sig [DSig] – the attack performed by pressing the heavy attack button while standing on the ground and holding down. This will be one of the Legend’s signature moves if holding a weapon.

Heavy Aerial Attacks

• Herstel – the attack performed by pressing the heavy attack button while airborne and not holding down. This move is useful when trying to recover (get back to solid ground) after being knocked off the stage, thus the name. This move has limited uses.
• Ground Pound – the attack performed by pressing the heavy attack button while holding down in the air. This move will typically travel straight downwards until the attack button is released or until meeting the ground or an opponent.

Advanced Techniques

• Gravity Cancel [GC] – the act of spot dodging in the air, and then quickly using either a light or heavy attack, which will then execute as the grounded version of the move.
• Fast Fall – holding down while in the air to fall faster.
• Slide Charging – performing a Signature while running off a platform and having the signature charge while you are slipping and falling off the ledge.
• Ledge Cancel – approaching a soft platform from the bottom and holding down as soon as you’re on top of it to “land” immediately.Reversal – inputting an opposite direction quickly before a move to have your character “x-pivot” backwards
• Streepje – When your Legend is grounded, pressing the Dodge button whilst holding a side directional button (or a diagonal direction) will lead to a Dash.
• Chase Dodging – Chase Dodging allows you to immediately do a follow-up dodge upon landing an attack against an opponent, which acts similarly to a normal dodge but is more powerful and can be immediately canceled into an attack. However you cannot Chase dodge in the opposite direction you’re facing. Landing a grounded move gives you 2 Chase dodges, aerial moves give only 1 Chase dodge and Projectile signatures give 0 Chase dodges

Unarmed

Hamer

• DLight + SLight (white hp)
• NLight + SLight
• DLight + DAir
• DLight + SAir
• GC DLight + NAir
• DLight + Herstel (hard)
• DLight + Herstel + DAir (Only red hp)
• DLight + Herstel + SAir (Red hp)
• DLight + Herstel + NAir (only works when very damaged)

Only possible on 9dex Cassidy

• SAir + DLight + SLight + NLight

Your kill combos are:

Blasters

• DLight + SLight (works on full hp)
