To unlock this achievement, you have to collect all files present in the game. Er zijn 44 in totaal, spread over 15 chapters. Each chapter of this guide corresponds to one chapter in the game, which are split by loading screens. You can see the names of the chapters looking at the save files.

Some of the screenshots below look a little weird, and that’s because I recorded them playing with a high gamma value, to make the game look brighter.

Waking the Doll’s House

#1: June 24th 1899

Found in the very first room you wake up in. It’s on top of the desk, on the left side of the bed.

#2: Edwin and Enoch’s Diary

Once you climb to the attic, go left and crawl through the hole in the wall. It’s on top of a box right in front of you.

#3: February 14th 1899

After leaving the attic, you will find yourself at a corridor. Enter the second open room, aan uw linkerhand. It’s on the middle drawer of a desk on the corner.

#4: November 7th 1899

Later, you will get to Mandu’s office. It’s the room where you find the first telephone, and some rifles on the wall. This note is on the first drawer of the desk in the middle of the room.

#5: Clockwork and the Soul

After revealing the secret passage on Mandu’s office, you will find yourself in a narrow corridor. Enter your first left. The note is in the right side of the window on the left wall.

In Lily’s Honour, A Banquet

#6: Edwin and Enoch’s Diary

Right at the start of the chapter, find it in a table to your right.

#7: Dieses Herz

Once you go down to the main hall of the mansion, Sla linksaf. You will get to a dinning room, with a large table. This document is on a music stand next to the piano on your right.

#8: December 20th 1899

Ga terug naar de grote zaal, and proceed to the room opposite from the dinning room you were just in. You will get to a room with a billiard table, and two doors on the back. Open the left door, and proceed through the corridor. It’s on a dresser on your right side.

#9: Old Sallie I the Doll’s Cottager

The door leading to this document will be locked until you turn a valve hidden inside a secret passage, found in the bathroom, next to the last document. After you leave the bathroom, go to the room on your right. The file is in the right drawer of a desk in the back of the room.

Against the Rising Waters

#10: June 3rd 1899

When the chapter starts, look behind you. It is lying on top of a barrel.

#11: August 19th 1899

In this chapter, you are supposed to activate three machines in order to open the path ahead. Once you get to the second machine with a broken fuse, turn right and follow the corridor, then open the door ahead and turn left and go downstairs. It’s on top of a crate, right in front of you.

The Collar, The Neck, The Noose

#12: August 22nd 1899

At the start of the chapter, go to the office with a gramophone that starts playing a loud music. The document is in the third drawer of the desk in the middle of the room.

#13: May 1st 1899

From the last file, go back to the previous room. It is on the second drawer of the desk.

#14: October 11th 1899

From the last file, open the door on your left, then turn left and go through the door in front of you. The file is lying on a box to your left.

#15: September 28th 1899

Once you get to the room with pigs hanging from the ceiling, open the door on your left, and then go right. It’s on a barrel just past another door.

#16: Delivery Schedule

It is lying on the truck you are supposed to fuel to clear the path to the church. Moeilijk te missen.

Livestock and Bibles

#17: November 23rd 1899

At the start of the chapter, proceed through the corridor and enter the last door on your right. It is lying righ on top of the desk.

#18: Father Jeremiah’s Journal

In the storage where you also find the candlestick, it is sitting on a box on the back of the room.

#19: These final thoughts

After you open the secret passage underneath the altar, go downstairs and stick to the right wall. It’s on top of a table.

And so to the Stoking

#20: October 17th 1899

Early in the chapter you will reach a office area, with some stairs leading down. Opposite to this stairs is another set of stairs leading up to a second office area. The note is in the second drawer of the desk by the right side.

#21: October 18th 1899

When you enter the piston control room (there’s a giant label above the door), look right. It is on top of a table.

#22: October 21st 1899

After activating all furnaces, and going down some stairs, you will reach a dark area where enemies are roaming. Stick to the left, and you will find the note on the second workbench you come across.

#23: April 30th 1899

When you jump down into the coal chute, go right and climb up the stairs. The document is on a crate.

In the Nest of Eggs

#24: July 15th 1899

Righ after the chapter starts, go to the room on your right. The file is sitting on top of a table.

#25: a warning

Going downstairs from the last note, you will find a large centrifuge, which you will have to use to mix two compounds. Head to path labeled “Low Temperature Storage”. The note will be on top of a table besides the large barrel where you get the first compound.

#26: August 20th 1899

Back to the centrifuge room, go to the other path, labeled “Holding Pens”. After proceeding through the first room, you will get to a hallway, with some shelves to your left. It’s in one of those.

#27: August 4th 1898

After you get to the second compound, you will go through a corridor. The note is on the right side, near the end of this corridor, beneath some iron bars.

This Leaking World

#28: October 22nd 1899

Right at the start of the chapter, on a small room to the right. It’s on the floor by some bones.

#29: August 1st 1899

It is on a table on the same room as the first valve you have to turn, to drain the water.

#30: February 17th 1899

On the room with the second valve, it is hidden on a shelf, behind some crates.

From Tide to Spine

There’s no collectibles in this chapter.

The Children, Dansen

#31: March 15th 1899

At the start of the chapter, open a metal door right in front of you. It is on one of the shelves at the end of the room.

Mandus, Saboteur

#32: December 29th 1899

On the floor of the room where pig masks drop from the ceiling, in front of the ladder.

#33: August 31st 1899

By the pressure regulator panel that you have to sabotage.

#34: December 1st 1899

After sabotaging the pressure regulator and passing between some pipes, you will fall unconscious. The note wiil be lying in front of you on the ground right as you regain consciousness.

Anything to Save Them

#35: October 25th 1899

After going through two small wooden cabins, turn right into one of the apartments. Boven, the note sits on a table.

#36: October 24th 1899

After reaching a second street, turn right, and you will find a house with a cage in front of it. Inside the house, a woman will be attacked by one of the pig creatures. The file is on the ground next to the door.

#37: December 23rd 1899

You will have to drop down to a basement through a window on the street. Stick to your left, and crouch beneath the hole in the wall. The note is on top of a box.

#38: October 25th 1899

After the chase sequence with the pigs, you will get to another elevator. Turn around, and you will see some boxes. To find this note, you will have to crawl into the gaps between those boxes.

Farming the World

#39: October 25th 1899

At the start of the chapter, you will be on a catwalk. Once you cross to the other side, go all the way left. The note is on top of a crate.

#40: October 27th 1899

On the room where you have to drop a container to stop a giant machine, look on the wall opposite to it. It’s sticked to a panel.

#41: October 27th 1899

After sabotaging the machine, turn around and go through the vault door. Ga rechts, and you will find the note by some boxes.

#42: December 2nd 1899

After entering the corridor with the label “Tripery”, you will find this note on the right wall, next to a gap on the wood.

The Veil Lifts, the Bride is Waiting

#43: 25th December 1899: If You Should Find This

After leaving the first elevator, is on the left wall, pinned by a map.

Mandus Descending Amongst the Spirits

#44: December 28th 1899

The final note will be on the floor, next to a teddybear on the catwalks leading to the tower. You have to climb two ladders to get here.
