This guide is all about hidden roads in American Truck Simulator. These roads aren’t shown on the map, but you can drive on them without using mods or console commands. We’ll keep updating this guide with new roads we discover.

The list below includes all drivable roads not marked on the map. You can access them without any mods or console commands. We’ve also included a step-by-step walkthrough on how to reach each road. Make sure you have all the map DLCs released so far, as some hidden roads near borders might depend on other states for access.

The guide is organized by states and then alphabetically by cities. If the unmarked road isn’t in a city, we use the closest one as a reference. Each screenshot in the guide has a map with the unmarked road highlighted in green or red. Arrows and notes on the screenshots also use these colors for easy navigation.

Groente

These roads are special because they don’t have any UI roadblocks like glowing arrows or Xs where only AI drivers can go. There are no invisible walls or hard objects blocking these roads; they’re just not shown on the map. Soms, the only things in the way are easy-to-move objects like cones or signs. These roads are a bit different. They are blocked by UI roadblocks or hard objects, and sometimes they aren’t even connected to the playable area. It’s worth noting that in most cases, these breaches are eventually fixed over time.

The lines on the map show the route that players can drive once they’ve accessed the road. The accompanying text provides points of reference, such as landmarks, wegen, and cities. These references are the same ones listed in the walkthrough, helping players navigate and find their way along the hidden roads.

• SCENERY: These roads are meant to be eye-candy, providing a picturesque view without any practical use, except for capturing a cool screenshot in a different location. It’s important to note that any of the other categories implicitly include scenery.
• SHORTCUT: Some unmarked roads serve as alternative routes connecting two or more marked roads. Echter, it’s essential to remember that despite the name, these roads may not always be the shortest or easiest routes.
• EASTER-EGG: Certain unmarked roads lead to messages, jokes, or pop culture references left by the developers. It’s crucial to check other guides for easter eggs unrelated to unmarked roads.
• ACHIEVEMENT: Hitting specific spots on unmarked roads can unlock achievements. The name of the achievement is provided alongside this category. Opnieuw, only achievements related to unmarked roads are listed here.
• MARKABLE: Some unmarked roads become dotted paths on the map after discovery, making them easily locatable later. This feature was added in version 1.44.
