This guide will show you how to unlock the achievement called “A Blade of Legend” in Ember. Just like A Lost Soul achievement, this one is connected to an in-game side quest to unlock.
How to Unlock A Blade of Legend
I really suggest you do this extra mission to get the weapon. This weapon is super important for the big boss battle at the end because it might just be the best one you can get in the whole game.
The mission kicks off only after you’ve gotten back your heart from the Necromancer, which happens as part of the main story. Daarna, head over to the City of Light and track down a guy named Horatio. Here’s where you can find him:
If you chat with him before regaining your heart, he’ll advise you to return once your reputation improves. Once you’ve retrieved your heart, he’ll suggest you court his daughter, Elena. Kiezen “Guess I could talk to her.”
When you head upstairs, Elena will task you with locating her true love, Horace, initiating the quest “Looking for Love in all the Wrong Places.” This side quest is extensive, requiring visits to various map locations. I won’t delve into details; just follow the markers. Eventueel, you’ll encounter Horace battling goblins. Assist him, then instruct him to return to Elena. Daarna, return to Horatio.
Your dialogue choices won’t affect the subsequent side quest, which is pivotal for the Achievement and acquiring the epic weapon. Once the quest concludes, converse with Horatio until he discloses the sword’s location and furnishes you with a key, initiating the “A Blade of Legend” speurtocht.
The cave resides in the Southern Forest. Binnen, you’ll find a door; use Horace’s key to unlock it and proceed through the tunnel until you reach a chamber with colorful barriers, four Effigies, and four colored candles. It’s imperative to hard save at this point. Failing to do so and inaccurately arranging the candles’ order could result in the guardian obliterating your party. The guardian is exceptionally potent.

After dismantling the barriers, you’ll confront the boss. He’s quite formidable, so it’s advisable to hard save once more. Upon vanquishing the Illuminated One, seize the Rusted Light’s Awakening and make your way back to Horatio. Horatio will refurbish the blade, marking the completion of the achievement.
