The guide I’m giving you covers various things I’ve learned. While some players may already know a lot about some of these, there’s probably at least one thing here that others might not be aware of. I’m not boasting about how clever I am; I just want to offer information for players to use. There might be things other players know that I don’t!

Determining Support Limits:
When building, it’s essential to consider how well the structure is supported. With your wooden hammer in hand, check the color of a built object by looking directly at it. The colors range from blue (touching the ground) to green and then red. If the object appears blood red, it’s at the absolute limit of support. Fireplace Protection:
While a fireplace in your house can provide warmth during cold nights, it faces a challenge when it rains. Without proper precautions, the fire will go out. Surround the fire with walls and place roofing directly above it to prevent rain from extinguishing it. The walls can be made of wood, eliminating the worry of accidentally burning down your residence. 하지만, be cautious about the block used to cap your chimney—it must be an actual roof for effective rain protection.

Weathering Effects:
Rain negatively affects certain blocks, causing them to lose durability over time, reducing their health to half. Blocks like wood walls, wooden pillars, most furniture items, and even crafting stations fall into this category. Contact with standing water accelerates the weathering process. 하지만, all these items remain unaffected if they are under any sort of roof, even if they are already below another wall.

Resourcing

When you need resources, where do you go to get them? If you’re after regular wood, chopping down trees and stumps might be your first thought. 하지만, there are more efficient ways to gather certain items.

처음에는, harvesting ordinary wood from trees seems like the go-to option. 아직, 시간이 지남에 따라, as trees move farther from your residence due to turning wood into charcoal, it becomes inconvenient. If you lack the means to replant trees, you’ll find yourself walking longer distances. Consider a different approach: dealing with greydwarves. Though they can be a menace to new players, especially shamans and brutes, their abundance, especially at night, makes it easy for experienced players to collect stacks of wood by sunrise. …Off to the Mines We Go!
When you first spot copper deposits, it’s common to assume that what’s visible is all there is. 놀랍게도, this is often not true. Copper deposits have most of their substance underground, meaning what you see is just the tip of the iceberg! Fully excavating a copper deposit guarantees at least three stacks of ore, likely more. While breaking open this much ground can be tough on your pickaxe, it seems more wasteful to leave all that ore right under your feet. Putting in the extra effort at each copper deposit will seriously pay off in the long run!

Barrels of Fun
A discovery I made only four days ago is that near some stone structures in a black forest, there are barrels next to the door. 처음에는, I left them alone, but breaking them open reveals some decent goodies! 지금까지, I’ve found deer and boar leather, blueberries, 석탄, and tin ore in these barrels.
