This War of Mine New Player’s Starter Guide

A quick way to learn this game without being too perfect.

First Day

Start gathering everything in the house you started in. You can press the 꼬리표 key to switch between characters. The most fastest or strongest one should be looting during the night, the more carry weight the better.

Gather as much as you can – which means dig the debris, clicking the hands, and building the essentials, it takes 14 minutes before you can scavenge or defend during the night.

Essentials
Focus more on building a crafting table fast, then a weaponry to build a saw, crowbar, lockpicks, and most importantly a hatchet which we need for firewood and fuel for cutting down useless furniture in the house like the cabinets and unusable debris in the background. You can see the hatchet button to loot fire woods and wood material. Be sure that you aren’t cutting the ones you build and I recommend building the hatchet/saw blade/lock pick first.

What to build?
Two beds for three survivors, an armchair, a rain catcher, a crafting table near a cooking station and a weaponry for easy access. On the basement you should build traps for food, and a herbal plantation which you’ll be needing to focus on upgrading the crafting table.
You should build a furnace that warms your surroundings if the weather is snowy and put fuel in it. Gather the snow on open areas to cook snow to water during the 14 minutes daytime.

First Night
Try scavenging for ‘materials’ like gears, those boxes of junks, 목재, and electronic parts and ‘food’ and ‘weapon items’. Try prioritizing the materials first then food.

You need materials to upgrade faster, 그리고 음식. If you found medical supplies, try to put them somewhere easy to access in that area and gather the materials first. No one will steal the supplies in your designated looting area.

After going back home, try restarting { leaving and continuing, not starting a new save file } your game if one or more of them are:

• Sick
• Raided
• Raided and wounded
• Sad
• Worst case, froze to death because the temperature changed to -1 Celsius or 32 화씨.

Second day

If you try to build an alcohol distiller then make sure it’s for trading, try to rush for the moonshine maker because it allows you to make pure alcohol which you can make medicine in the mid game (15-25 날).

If the weather is too cold, just put three firewood and make the temperature 3 Celsius. Try to save fuel and cook the vegetable stew, you can upgrade the cooking station in early game if you want to save on fuel.

Try to gather snow and cook it to make water with a water cleaner from material or make the water cleaners and put it on The Rainwater Collector.

Try to put some chairs, loot some books, find a guitar and make them play it, try finding cigars (if I were you I would just trade those for supplies or medicine), and prioritize on medicine because when I sold all my medicine and bandages to upgrade my stations faster my entire characters are wounded and might die if I got unlucky with the next day randomizing. If they are too sad, they might affect all your characters and they’ll have a debuff that makes them ‘really moody’ and they might kill each other or do something crazy.

Guarding and Sleeping

Usually if there aren’t any raiding you wouldn’t have to worry about guarding. You can just leave and continue if you got raided while everyone was asleep. Be sure to click on “sleep in bed” not ‘sleep’.

And you’re all set.

I don’t think armor or the reinforced door would help you stop a raid during raid day, I advise you to find broken weapons as soon as possible to scare the looters away. A kitchen knife won’t do you any good either because if the raiders are armed with a gun by the randomize system or a better weapon, you will lose supplies or get your characters wounded.

I don’t want to ruin the experience any more further, those are all the basics you need to know to survive and not panic a lot or have them all dead or some of them causing you to restart or play poorly. 날 믿어, I want you to see what the game wants you to experience.

You should only build a radio in day 10-15, save the resources for later.

Reading the character’s Wiki is also helpful. I don’t know how to edit this guide I made.

Coffee addicts are the worst, they’re fragile and stresses a lot, all the radio does is tell what zone is a warzone or if there’s a warzone causing medicine supplies to skyrocket the trade value. The characters already lived there and know the dangers of each zones they can loot, to make the radio a not-so-needed build or somewhat useful it just tells you what supply is expensive or cheap like coffee and cigars, The trading value you heard in the radio only skyrockets by one value which you can read it in the description of trading the item you wanna trade.

Be sure to read the descriptions when trying to loot. It will be helpful, try to search the area after having a full inventory. Pretty common knowledge, I just want you to know in case you followed the guide and forgotten some things.
