After completing my first playthrough, there are several valuable insights I wish I had known from the beginning. To help others facing challenges or uncertainties in their game, I’ve compiled them here:
- Avoid getting too attached to the starting location(에스). The performance issues in West Wing can get tiresome, and the long back-and-forth to distant locations can be a chore as you progress.
- Construct only what you need to progress in each location, especially in the early stages. This will complement the first point and streamline your progress.
- Store your most important items and refrain from using them. While you don’t need to carry your shovel or pickaxe with you to reap their benefits, they do need to be present in your world. Accidental loss of these items can compromise your save file.
- If you can’t find your NPCs, they’re probably clustered somewhere in your current location. There’s no need to save and reload; just walk up to them and they’ll move from where they are. This is also a good time to catch up on any unfinished quests.
- If you are building significant structures, save regularly. The delete function can be unpredictable, and once items are removed, they may not return to their original positions until more deletions occur. Creating occasional backups prevents having to start over because of a single mistake.
- Don’t take these suggestions too seriously! If you want to build big houses early on, go ahead and build them. If you like the aesthetics of the West Wing, go ahead and live there. These are just observations I’ve made, and my future playthroughs may see changes.
- Once you have digging tools, your community can use them. This comes in handy when dealing with the jackhammer and rocks at the factory entrance. I personally couldn’t interact with them, but some of my people were able to remove the obstacle.
For those who are still enjoying the game despite the negative reviews, it is truly a great experience if you give it the chance it deserves.
