Overview
Below are maps of every collectible type in each of the main game locations in Kena: Bridge Of Spirits.
New abilities are unlocked as you progress through the game, which can sometimes be used to reach previously inaccessible areas. For that reason, not all of the collectibles displayed below will be available when first visiting an area.
For visual clarity, these maps do not show collectibles outside of their respective zones.
After completing the game, players have the option to convert an existing save into New Game+ where the story can be replayed with previously collected items unlocked. If you prefer to finish collecting before beginning a new game, you can do so by using the warp point just before the final objective.
Rots, hats, spirit mail, and charms can be hidden anywhere. Rots usually leave a purple glow where they are hiding, while sometimes a charm may show up inside a chest. Occasionally, easy challenges may need to be completed to reveal your prize, which can include watering crops with the rot creature, moving objects around, or hitting targets with your skills. Meditation spots may not be revealed until progressing the story to a certain point, and flower shrines often require a nearby seed to be uncovered first to invoke the rot creature.
In all cases, no collectibles are missable by continuing with the story, as you will have an option to revisit any collectible area again before completing the game.
8 Rots can be found in the outdoor portion of the Ruins where the player begins the game. The map of this area includes very few details, but if you need it, here you go.
Village
As the game’s central hub, the
Village will be revisited often, especially after Kena learns an ability to access a new area. Spirit Mail collected during your journey can also be used to unlock and cleanse certain areas, and if you have collected any, the corresponding location it unlocks will be highlighted on your in-game map until it is accessed.
The Trials shrine is in the north central area of the
Village and must be challenged to unlock various collectibles. This area is marked on the maps below with a blue circle, and any collectibles found therein are indicated in a ring around that area. Meeting all of the challenge criteria in the various trials will unlock new outfits, but simply passing them should be sufficient to unlock the collectibles.
Taro’s Tree
Taro’s Tree is another hub area, so some collectibles are gated until after progressing the story.
Rusu Mountain
As with other areas of the game, some collectibles (like the Rot on the southern island visible when first visiting this zone) are not reachable until after unlocking new abilities.
Forgotten Forest
Fields
The
Fields cover a large area that overlaps slightly on the north with the next zone, the
Village Heart. Collectibles shown in the maps below are the ones counted for the game’s tallies in this zone, but explorers may also like to consider the next section which includes the northern areas vertically above Village Heart as well.
Village Heart
I concede that the maps for
Village Heart have limited practical use, but hope they can still be helpful in certain situations. Please note that collectibles from the small village at the top of the well are also considered part of Village Heart despite closer proximity to the Fields.
