In this short and quick guide, we show you all the steps you need in order to get Tar in Valheim, from the beginning to the end!
What do you need before you start?
In order to not fail horribly like me and die to the growths you’re going to want to craft two items:
- Health Mead
- Poison Resistance Mead
In addition to this you’re going to want to bring a good set of armor, and the best bow you got, with about 100 矢印. Oh and don’t forget to bring a pick axe!
Once you are armored up it’s time to find your tar pit!
Where to find tar?
Tar pits look like the picture above and they can be found in larger sections of plains. Plains show up as sandy-colored grasslands where there are Goblins (Fulings) and Deathsquitos ready to drop you like a hat so be careful!
Once found keep your distance until ready!
How to harvest?
As you can clearly see above, the best way to harvest a Tar pit is to drain it dry by digging a drain trench starting from downhill of the Tar pit. This will drain all the tar and allow for you to collect every last morsel of Tar for your building needs!
