This is a full walkthrough for the Universe 25 game and includes a section to help those having trouble running the game.

How to Run the Game

When you first try to run this game off of a clean install from Steam, you may get an error that the .exe is missing, and the game will not launch.

You can fix this error by right-clicking the game in your Steam library and selecting “view files” to see the game folder within Windows Explorer.

If you navigate into the folder labeled “窓” and then the folder labeled “コンテンツ”, you will see the game files on your disk, and can play the game directly from this folder by running the “Loophole Universe 25.exe”.

If you would prefer to run the game directly from your Steam library, this is easily doable. これをする, move the folder labeled “コンテンツ” up one level in the game directory.

The game begins by showing us some odd scenes. There’s a skeleton making star wars references, a small speech that is very difficult to make out, and some text explaining that we are a bureaucrat, John Smith 80085 (boobs, 笑), who cannot remember his past.

In the office, we get a note that we have been selected to try the RECIPE FOR THE PEOPLE in a special program that has some sweet rewards as compensation. There is also an ominously blood-splattered note from Dan, asking you to meet him.

Escape the Office

Begin by trying to leave the office, but the door is locked. Use the intercom and exhaust all dialogue – the power junction will swing open. Grab the SCREWDRIVER on the middle shelf and jam it into the electrical box, shorting out the door lock. 部屋を出てください.

廊下で, grab a LETTER OPENER from the box on the floor, and note the mouse in the hole.

Dan’s Office

Enter Dan’s office. Dan has all sorts of sweet stuff in here; he must have participated in the special program. Grab the DICTAPHONE from the desk and listen to it by right-clicking it in the inventory. It’s a warning!

Also in Dan’s office, you can find a BEACH PHOTO on the wall, a BASKET, and one of the boxes has a MUG. Examine the dartboard, and then take the DART. Look at the large picture on the back wall, which lets you examine the discolored bit more closely. Slice the dark spot open with the letter opener, agree to the terms, and grab the OLD KEY.

次, check out the large rug. Use the hand icon on it after looking at it, revealing a large metal door with two keyholes. You have one key but will need to make the other one. Examine your dart with right-click in the inventory to separate out the plastic bit. Use the letter opener on the dart to cut it into the correct shape. ついに, combine the dart with the screwdriver to make the second key. Use both keys on the door, and descend.

Dan is down here, with a nasty-looking bulge in his stomach. He wants you to operate. The letter opener is too dull for this task.

Have a look around, and then grab the CHEESE and the JAR OF EXPERIMENTAL LIQUID.

Return to your office. Cut the TELEPHONE WIRE with the letter opener.

廊下で, combine the telephone wire, the basket, and the cheese, for a MAKESHIFT MOUSETRAP. Capture the MOUSE.

Back downstairs, use the mouse on the small hole. Follow the path to the end for a SCALPEL. 戻る, and slice open Dan to wrap up chapter 1.

第2章: Enter Karlov’s Resteraunt

Next to your inventory, you now have a small green device that lets you warp between locations. We only have 2 places for now, but new ones will be added in additional chapters. The goal of this chapter is to get into the restaurant, where the villain behind the experimental fluid is cooking.

If you try to waltz right in, a bouncer stops you. Have a chat with him. He wants a holiday, a union flag, and something to drink.

Something to Drink

Enter the psychiatrist’s office behind the bouncer. Speak to the receptionist, and then take the NAPKIN from his desk. 次, take a SMALL PLASTIC CUP, and fill it up with some complimentary GREEN WATER. Try to walk into the consulting room, but we do not have an appointment.

Back outside, try to give the water to the bouncer. He doesn’t want it, as it is too dirty.

Combine your coffee mug with your napkin for a FILTER. Filter your sludgy green water for a CUP OF CLEAN WATER. Give this to the bouncer.

Union Flag

Warp back to the ministry. There is a UNION FLAG in Dan’s office that you could not take before, but is up for grabs now.

あなたがここにいる間, go downstairs and pick up some STICKY GREEN GOO from where Dan was, and then pop back to your office for a pair of SCISSORS in your top drawer.

Warp back to the city and hand over the flag.

A Vacation

Enter the store and talk to the shopkeeper. These shelves are mostly barren, but there’s a ton of stuff here – all of which will be important.

There are tanks of O2, but we need a prescription for those. The antipsychotics require a receipt from the restaurant. There’s fancy wine, but this can only be traded for something exotic. The pens are crazy expensive. The nuclear sweets require some type of “antiquity”. The UNION LEAFLET on the large poster is free, so snag one and leave.

次, head to the back alley. Grab the BANANA that is on the floor, and examining the trash will also yield an INFLATABLE PARROT. There are two people here, so speak to them both for some more story, and an APPOINTMENT SLIP to see the psychiatrist. No sense in not going to see her right away, so head on over there. Give the receptionist your slip and hop on the couch for a story scene and some MEDICINE.

When the scene is over, feed the drugs to your pet mouse to learn the magic number.

Return to Cassandra in the alley and give her the code number you just learned. She gives you LOTS OF CREDITS, which you should use in the store to buy the PEN.

We now have everything we need. Alter your beach invitation with the pen in your inventory. Using the scissors, cut the bouncer photo out of the union leaflet. Apply the sticky green goo to the photo, and attach it to the altered invitation. Give this to the bouncer and enter the restaurant.

Enter the Kitchen

中に入ると, you discover you need an ID to enter the kitchen. Chat with the waiter.

次, place the banana on the floor tile, and sit down. The waiter falls, hitting his head. Steal his ID and enter.

You come face to face with Karlov, who escapes into a portal. If you try to chase him, the game will stop you – you need some antipsychotics before you can leave. There’s also a RECIPE here that you should take (the middle paper) before you go – it is for a potent concoction called Prometheus.

Go back one screen to the dining area – there’s another mouse hole here, so pop your mouse in and follow the path to the end for a RECEIPT. Take this to the store and exchange it for the MEDICATION you need. Make sure you examine the receipt first, or else he doesn’t want to take it.

When you are ready, follow Karlov through the portal, and on to chapter 3.

第3章: Follow Karlov

Here’s what you need to do in Chapter 3.

Mercia Exploration

章 3 brings us to a new location, the village of Mercia. We can also still revisit the two prior locations by warping.

Right off the bat, we see a statue and a bird with something shiny. You can ignore them, as neither bird nor statue will be useful in this chapter.

前進します, noting that the stone on the next screen has a small gap. You can also grab some SEEDS from the wheat-like plant growing here.

The village ahead offers three locations, but the sacrificial mound is covered in a mist and cannot be approached. Head to hut #1, where you will find ROPE and a BIRD CAGE. 内部, you will meet a man who has a lead on Karlov, but in exchange for the info, he wants a canister of oxygen, which we don’t have yet. He also lets you take some WEIRD HERBS for free. ついに, examine the MEDICAL DIAGRAM on the wall, which you can take after you trade him your antipsychotic medication for it.

次, move to hut #2. The front of the hut has some MERCIA SEED free for grabs. 内部, the locals will offer a Karlov-finding-service, but of course, they need a radioactive element in exchange.

Prometheus

It’s a really good idea to drop a safety save here because I encountered one or two bugs relating to this puzzle, so if you hit one, you will have a safe point to come back to.

Behind hut 2, you will find a shady vendor selling crowbars and poisoned darts in exchange for herbs. Hand over your herbs to learn that what you have is not potent enough. Maybe some Prometheus will change his mind. Check your recipe – we will need some more ingredients.

Use your device to warp back to the city area from chapter 2. In front of the restaurant, feed some of your orange teardrop seeds to the rat and collect the RAT DROPPINGS. In the alley, throw more teardrop-shaped orange seeds in the trashcan fire and snag the TOASTED SEEDS. In Gruna’s office, show her the brain diagram, and hang it on the bookshelf behind her. While her back is turned, take the OLD SAW and the GLASS EYE.

Back in Mercia, at hut #1, locate the jar labeled “糞” and saw it open. Grab the DUNG.

あなたがここにいる間, use your parrot on the rising methane vapor to get an INFLATED PARROT. Put the parrot in the birdcage, and insert the Dictaphone. This creates a CONVINCING FAKE PARROT.

It is now time to create our masterpiece. Combine the herbs with the green liquid in a jar. Add the cow dung. Add the toasted seeds. Add the single plant seed that sort of resembles garlic. ついに, add the rat droppings. If you do this in the correct order, you now have a concoction labeled DEATH HERBS. Give this to the dude behind hut #2.

Favors for the Locals

Leave this screen and immediately return. The merchant, having eaten the green liquid, is now bulging. We can’t help him for now, but the CROWBAR you have been given will come in handy.

Return to the screen outside town, and pry up the stone marker with the crowbar. There’s another mouse hole – this one leads to a HOOK. Tie this to your rope to make a GRAPPLER. Make sure to re-take your CROWBAR again, as we need it later.

Warp back to the city. In the alleyway, throw the grappler through the open window, and you will earn yourself a PRESCRIPTION.

In the store, you can hand over both the prescription and the fake parrot. In exchange, you will receive an OXYGEN TANK and a WINE BOTTLE, それぞれ. Upon examining the wine, the bottle will be discarded, but you will retain the CORKSCREW.

Return to hut #1 and hand over your O2. In exchange, you will be granted access to the final location in Mercia, the sacrificial mound. そこに行ってください, and after a short scene, you will automatically get a SCORCHED HEAD. While you are here, use the saw on the long poles to also grab a JAWLESS SKULL.

Make one final trip to the city store, and hand the shopkeeper your new head in exchange for a RADIOACTIVE CANDY.

Give the candy to the head monk in Hut #2 to wrap up the third chapter.

章 4: Confront Karlov

章内 4, we gain access to the last location, 亡命. Since there’s nothing left to do in the ministry, that location is now locked out for teleportation. We can still go to the city and to Mercia.

Exploring Asylum

On the first screen, grab the JAWBONE and enter the gate.

Examine the gravestones here for some story-significant lore. One of the gravestones can be pried up with the crowbar. You lose the crowbar but gain a SPANNER (wrench). Make a quit pit stop on the previous screen and liberate two WHEELS from the chair here using the spanner.

Following the path towards the mausoleum leads you to a dead-end – it’s locked tight, so move towards the large building. There’s a SPLINTER OF WOOD on the windowsill for you to take.

Move the back of the building. There’s a short scene, and then you can take two more WHEELS from another wheelchair.

準備ができたら, 家に入る. In the entry area, the vases are empty, but you can grab a SCREWDRIVER from inside the decorative pot.

次, 上の階に行く. One door is locked, and decorated with a strange symbol, but the other is open. Take the TELEVISION CABLE and the POLAROID CAMERA, and return downstairs.

Attach all four wheels to the large cabinet, and push it to the left, revealing a basement door.

Exhaust all dialogue with Maud, and take the TEDDY BEAR. Examine the teddy bear to notice it feels lumpy; destroy it with the letter opener for a RAZOR.

Skull Puzzle

Once down in the basement, I strongly recommend dropping a SAVE here as I did encounter a handful of bugs with the next few puzzles and it might be nice to have a save just in case something goes wrong. 最も重要なこと, don’t randomly use items on the locked door on the top floor, as a bug may cause the item to vanish, effectively soft-locking you.

Note the faded graphic on the far wall; you can see it better if you take a PHOTO with the camera. Looking at the photo, it shows a skull surrounded by three colored balls. We will need to recreate this design. We have almost everything we need already.

在庫にある, combine the jawless skull with the splinter. Add the jaw to complete the SKULL.

次, take the glass eye, and dip it in the vial of green liquid here in the basement for a GREEN BALL. また, dip the rat droppings into the red liquid for a RED BALL. それは 3/4 down already; the blue ball is the only thing missing.

Returning to the area behind the house, speak to Bertie again, and you will receive a TIBIA.

Warping back to Mercia, go behind hut #2, where the arrow vendor is still laid out flat. Slice him open with the razor you found in the teddy. He will finally give you the BROKEN ARROW.

Return to the large statue with the bird at the start of the Mercia area. Use the screwdriver on the small bronze placard, and it will come off, revealing a RIBBON. Fix the ARROW with the ribbon. 次, tie the television cable to the tibia to create a BOW. Combine bow and arrow, and fire at the bird, who will fly off, dropping a HAIRPIN.

Hairpin in hand, warp back to the city. Enter the alley, and pick the lock on the dumpster. Following the ladder down, you will wind up at a beach. This area can be a bit bugged, as a warning. Grab the PICK HAMMER, and pull the chain. 場面が変わります, and you will notice a small power source behind a BREAK GLASS barrier. Your corkscrew is too weak for the glass, and for some reason, your pick hammer is gone. The hammer is part of the virtual world, so it disappears. Pull the chain again to return to the beach scene. Examine the parrot and then grab the PARROT, and take the hammer a second time. Stuff the hammer inside the parrot. Pull the chain again. Use the hammer while it is still inside the parrot to break the glass and collect the POWER SOURCE.

Return to Asylum. Move towards the mausoleum, and pick the lock with the hairpin.

階下, you will find an alcove. Look at it more closely, and place the blue ball in the lower left slot, the green ball in the lower right slot, the red ball in the top slot, and the complete skull in the center. Take the KEY.
