After going through the beginning cut scene you will wake up at the plane. Around this plane are materials scattered throughout the seats bathroom and back of the plane. There are tons of turtles around the coast of the island. They not only give you great food, but also give you a turtle shell.
You can use the turtle shell to slide down large cliffs, and you can also use it for a water collector. With the water collector you can collect fresh water. I advice you to now start searching around the island and find a nice spot around the island to build a base. Preferably around a large area of trees, and also near, a river or pond. The pond will allow you to pickup water with a pot, and boil it above a fire. Once you’ve found a nice spot for your base.
I advice you making a log cabin which can be found in your survival book. If you don’t know how to open your survival book look at your keybinds. Here you will find various buildings, and accessories you can build. After putting the schematics for your home down break down trees, and try to build a base before night. If you cannot do this before night I advice you to build a temporary shelter just for the night. Building a fire at night is not the greatest idea. The cannibals are attracted to the fire, and will investigate the fire, and they will also be aware of your presence. When you’re first I advice you to sleep throughout the entire night. If you have already found the yacht which is located somewhere near the plane crash, and on the coastline of the island. There is a bed you can use to save your game and sleep. This is a free way without building any shelter to sleep.
