それ’s time for the first big content patch for Quilts and Cats of Calico. We all know it’s a cozy, relaxing game, 右? The purring cats, vibrant colors and soothing music can be quite calming. 一方で, けれど, we know it can be a challenge, especially when the player whose turn was right before you takes the yellow flower tile which was perfect for you and you oh so wanted and oh my why did they have to ruin my perfect quilt?!
Weekly Challenges are here
わかった, させて’s calm down. 今日, we want to introduce a new kind of a challenge to the game, for those who like competing in rankings and perfecting their scores on a preset board. In these weekly contests, あなた’ll be aiming to become (one of) the best scoring quilters and if you manage to do so, your nickname – along with your score – will be visible to players all over the world!
So how do the challenges work? 毎週, a system designed for this specific purrpose (ごめん, we had to) is going to draw from a bag of modes, AI difficulties, goals and rules to create an exciting premade game for everyone. 次 – the puzzly fun begins! あなた’ll be able to play the challenge however many times you want to get that fluffy high score. Since there’s no randomness, あなた’ll be able to get a better score with each of your attempts. At the end of the week and for the entirety of the duration of the next challenge, 6 players with the highest scores will be put on the ranking board for all other quilters to see.
The first challenge is already available, so pounce right on in!
Limited Rules, QoL changes & patch notes
But that’s not all we’ve prepared for today. Besides the Challenge Mode, there are also a few quality of life changes we’作った. Most of these relate to how Limited Rules are displayed during the games. 前に, it could’ve been hard for players to access the information, だから私たちは’ve made it a bit easier. ここ’s the rundown:
- 私たちは’ve added an animation showing hexes you won’t be able to place tiles on, when playing using some of the limited rules

- Added a contact field to the in-game report system
