Here Comes Niko! – Gary’s Garden DLC All Seeds and Cassettes Location Guide

This guide provides an overview of the Gary’s Garden free DLC introduced on September 10th, 2023. It covers the locations of the ghost that transports you to the new area, の 10 required seeds to complete the area, and all the cassette tapes found in this region.

How to Unlock Gary’s Garden

To gain access to Gary’S庭, you must first unlock the Tadpole HQ area. Upon entering Tadpole HQ via the train, you’ll encounter a massive King Frog statue, with King Frog himself seated in front of it. Head to the rear of the King Frog statue and face away from it. You’ll notice a small wooden platform nestled among birch trees, and this is where you’ll find the ghost. The ghost’s dialogue box will consist of ellipses, but select the “はい” prompt to be transported to the new area.

Gary’s Garden Overview

Gary’s Garden is submerged in pink water. As you gather seeds, Gary will share more about his garden and life, and additional areas will unlock. You can’t swim in the pink water until you’ve collected all the seeds. Contact with the water or any scissors you encounter will send you back a considerable distance, typically to your most recent checkpoint, represented by a white daisy that blossoms when stepped on. These checkpoints also enable fast travel back to the train if you press the “Q” key while standing on one.

Navigating the terrain often involves timing your jumps or movements correctly to avoid the scissors, execute long jumps as mentioned earlier, and utilize leaf bounce pads in specific locations. Cassette #1

Located on the train tracks at the rear of the train.

For the third seed, head towards the large central tree. Start from the first grass platform with a checkpoint past Gary, then time your jump onto the soda cannon, allowing it to propel you between the scissors. At the base of the tree, you’ll find a ladder to climb, avoiding the scissors as you ascend. From the top of the ladder, jump onto the left branch. そこには, you’ll encounter three blue mushroom bounce pads. Instead of using them, climb up the branch to the checkpoint, then navigate past the moving scissors and jump down to the grass platform below, which holds the third seed.

A new area will have emerged between the rock platforms where the first seed was found and the large tree. Your destination is the fourth seed in this area. Start by reaching the first grass platform with a checkpoint past Gary, then move to the long grass platform on the left next to the large tree. Jump onto another long grass platform with a checkpoint, ascend using bounce pads to a taller grass platform with a checkpoint (the same location as the third seed). To reach the seed platform, you’ll need to visit three additional tall grass platforms, using bounce pads and air drafts to avoid the bouncing scissors between them.

Cassette #3 is located on the last grass platform before the seed platform, positioned near the water. By maneuvering onto the wooden platforms connected to the grass platform, you can spot the cassette. The seed platform is beyond a stretch of bouncing scissors, which can be evaded using bounce pads and air drafts.

To acquire the fifth seed, retrace your steps up the large tree in a manner similar to reaching the third seed. Go up to its checkpoint, then jump onto the jump pads to the right. These pads will guide you to a checkpoint further up the tree on a rock. Continue using bounce pads and navigate past a moving pair of scissors to reach another checkpoint, beyond which lies the fifth seed.

A set of grass platforms will have risen to the right of Gary, and the sixth seed is located there. そこに到達するには, perform a long jump through scissors. しかし, before ascending to the next level of the platform, explore the connected wooden platforms and rock platform, where you’ll find Cassette #4. After collecting the sixth seed, a series of rock platforms will emerge, and you should head in that direction to locate the seventh seed. Checkpoints are scattered across the rock platforms, and you’ll need to perform a long jump to reach the large rock platform in the distance where the seventh seed is located. Do not collect the seed immediately, as Cassette #5 is concealed behind a rocky area on the lower part of the seed platform. Head left toward the tree to find it.

シード #8, Cassette #6, and Cassette #7

To access the ninth seed, return to the first grass platform on the right of Gary, much like you did for the sixth seed. Ascend to its highest checkpoint. Instead of following the trail of bounce pads, jump to the lower trail of bounce pads that should be visible. There will be several long grass platforms with a massive pair of scissors moving over them, as well as various rock, 木材, and grass platforms around the sides. To avoid being struck by the giant scissors, regularly jump to taller or out-of-the-way platforms as you progress along the long grass platforms.

While moving down the main line of long grass platforms, pause at the taller grass platform on your left. It has both a checkpoint and Cassette #6.

Further down the main line of long grass platforms, you’ll encounter two taller platforms in the middle, each with a checkpoint. From the second taller middle grass platform, jump to a set of grass and rock platforms on the right, where Cassette #7 is situated.

At the end of the line of long grass platforms, there will be one last taller grass platform containing the seed.

シード #9 and Cassette #8

To reach the ninth seed, return to the first grass platform with a checkpoint past Gary, then move to the long grass platform on the left next to the large tree. Jump onto another long grass platform with a checkpoint, ascend using bounce pads to a taller grass platform with a checkpoint (the same location as the third seed). There will be a few small rock platforms leading to a checkpoint and a large tiered grass platform. To access Cassette #8, you’ll need to dodge some spinning lines of scissors to reach the rock on the far left of the lowest part of the platform. Jump off of it to the tree branch with Cassette #8. The seed is located higher up the large grass platform, past more lines of spinning scissors on a connected rock platform.

シード #10 and Cassette #9

To obtain the ninth seed, head to the rocks on the left of Gary, where a soda cannon will have appeared. It will launch you up to a high rock platform in the central tree. Follow the tree’s main branch to the very top, where you’ll find Cassette #9, the final cassette. You can use the bounce pads to reach it, but you can also simply walk up there. それから, utilize the trail of bounce pads to reach the highest point of the tree, where you will discover the tenth and last seed.

Gary’s Garden Completion

When you’ve successfully gathered all the seeds, Gary’s Garden will undergo a remarkable transformation. The previously impassable pink water will become navigable, and the menacing scissors will vanish. Gary, the original caretaker of the garden, will depart, making way for two individuals whose identities may ring a bell. These newcomers will provide additional insights into Gary’s story and the significance of his Garden.
