I made this guide to show that even when lowering some graphics settings the game can still look or similar to better quality presets with some increase in FPS.

I have a GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, an i5-3570 3.4hz, 8GB ram in 4x2GB stick dual channel form, and an external HDD that runs at 5400 回転数. The images are nearly identical but are using different graphics settings. Vertical sync was set to fast in Nvidia control panel.

Ultra Graphics Preset (1)

The screenshot shows me using the Ultra Preset

the resolution is set to 1600 × 900 which is my monitor native resolution

both Anti-aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering and other advanced settings are unmodified

anti-aliasing is set to TAA (Best Quality)

anisotropic filtering is set to 16 samples

with this preset I could sometimes get upwards towards higher 70s to 80 fps in smaller more enclosed locations like the vault but most of the time.

I struggled to stay over 60 fps and at the small river with the bridge the fps dropped to high 40s to low 50s.

Before entering the vault in the area with the rive the fps would drop to low 40s (most likely due to all the npc’s)

There was a slight increase in FPS by at least 10 with this one and I was getting low 60s to low 70s with this one but the fps still dropped at the bridge getting low 50s.

And as you should see the game looks Identical to that of the Ultra Preset.

High Graphics Preset with Ultra Godrays + Medium Distant Object Detail and Object Detail Fade (3)

As said in the title the preset is almost the same as the last one only the distant object detail and object detail fade were turned down to medium increasing the fps by at least 5 but but there isn’t much of a noticeable difference from section 2.

Aniso filtering 12, medium shadow quality and decal quantity (4)

Identical to section 3

I tried changing anisotropic filtering to 12 から 16 to see if there would be a difference but I didn’t notice anything so this probably wouldn’t matter unless lowered further.

lowering shadow quality and decal quantity did howerever increase the fps further to low 70s to low 90s so about by 10 which means it worked and the game still looks similar to the others.

Medium Graphics Preset with Ultra Godrays and Bokeh Depth of Field (5)

changing to this doesn’t appear to look as different from the others but the increase in fps was very noticeable.

in the location shown in the image I could see about 100 fps and going down to the bridge with the little river my fps does drop but only to the lower 70s increasing the fps by 30 フレーム.

High Graphics Preset

it should also be said that running the game with just the normal high preset with TAA and aniso set to 16 と 1600 × 900 on normal Vsync gives 60 fps most of the time but when i switched to ultra preset to see what it looked like I immediately wanted the game to look this way without hurting my performance so I did this and now it runs reasonable frames like before but with the amazing look of ultra god rays.

When using fast Vsync i was able to see that it runs from 60 に 90 fps and doesn’t dip below 60 at the bridge.

the fps could affect by have it run a bit of a slower HDD but I can’t tell atm and i could aslo be affected by mods which i do i a few of the active but they arent graphical mods.
