In the 0.3 update, “Gods & Relics,” Inkbound added something cool called Steam Achievements. In this guide, you can get all the info you need to earn those special Completionist badges. I’ll keep this guide fresh with any new achievements that come out. If you ever need assistance, just leave a comment, and I’ll be happy to help you out!
In Inkbound, you can earn a grand total of 28 achievements. Now, let’s dive into each of them. Below, you’ll discover the descriptions for these achievements on Steam, and I’ll also give you some tips for the more challenging ones.
Needless Achievements (6)
These achievements are probably the very first ones you’ll unlock when you begin playing Inkbound.
A Whole New World
Enter the Atheneum for the first time.
Death is not the End
Die for the first time.
Villain Slayer
Defeat a Villain for the first time.
Augmenting Aficionado
Fully upgrade a Binding.
Treasure Hoarder
Equip enough Vestiges to fill your inventory.
Curious Customer
Unlock a Trinket.
Story Achievements (5)
You earn these achievements by going through the game’s story. Occasionally, you might have to advance in a particular quest to unlock the next one.
Just a heads up, there might be some spoilers along the way.
Birdie Hunting
Collect the “Magic Threads”.
Truth Detector
Unmask the Unbound.
Meeting of the Minds
Find the Gatekeeper and OHM.
Search for the Slab
Find the Opal Slab.
Jailbroken
Free the Captive.
Ranked Achievements (4)
You can snag these achievements by winning Ranked Dives. These add Rank Modifiers and Book Mutators, which can make the game more challenging.
Solo Challenger
Win a Solo Run at Challenge Rank 10.
Solo Conqueror
Win a Solo Run at Challenge Rank 20.
Group Challenger
Win a Group Run at Challenge Rank 20.
Group Conqueror
Win a Group Run at Challenge Rank 20.
Group Achievements (3)
You can grab these achievements, as well as the Group Rank ones in the earlier section, while playing in Multiplayer. You can do this with a group of at least 2 players, and you can use the in-game Matchmaking feature to help you find opponents.
Let’s Get this Party Started
Start a group run.
There’s No “I” in Team
Win a group run.
A Selfless Needless
Heal another player.
Win Condition Achievements (8)
This section covers all the achievements where you need to win under specific rules. It’s a good idea to aim for these achievements one at a time.
King Midas
Win a run with 1,000 or more Kwillings.
Achieve victory in a run with 1,000 or more Kwillings. To do this, focus on selecting Kwilling Chest nodes and Vestiges from the Kwilling Hoarder set to boost your Kwillings. Don’t forget to grab Treasure Chests to help too!
Stuck in the Gunk
Win a run without ever moving in combat.
Secure a triumph without any movement during combat. Surprisingly, you can navigate using Movement Bindings like Magma Miner’s Leaping Strike or Mosscloak’s Scavenger’s Dash. Ensure to verify the Binding category by hovering over it. Accidental movement is acceptable as long as you reset your position by pressing E (or your customized key) before attacking.
Consider choosing Clairvoyant with the “Marker of the Unbound” Trinket, granting immunity to Blight and a permanent power boost every 6 attacks while standing on the ink. Opt for Blink during your first Binding Draft and teleport to the arena’s edge. Use Shift to rotate the camera and aim your Shardglobe for defeating foes. Since gathering Orbs will be more challenging, prioritize Bindings or Vestiges offering Cooldown or Cost Reduction.
Remember, each run allows you to select 3 Epic Augments, one after each Book Guardian, and another after the Elite before the final Boss. Blink has an Epic Augment that generates an Orb wherever you land, potentially granting you 3 Orbs in total.
Orbless
Win a run without collecting an Orb.
Secure victory without collecting any Orbs. The key challenge lies in resisting the temptation of clicking on those enticing Orbs. You might need to restart several times. Similar to “Stuck in the Gunk,” prioritize options providing Cooldown or Cost Reduction.
Can’t Touch This
Win a run without taking any damage.
Achieve victory without sustaining any damage. This is notably one of the most demanding achievements. Pay careful attention to your Shield and Blur stacks. Consider using the “Blessing of Misplaced Nobility” Trinket, which grants you 2 Shielding every turn at the cost of 25 less Max HP.
Mosscloak is recommended, equipped with the uncommon Augment “Shielding Flurry,” granting 1 Shield for each Shuriken stack thrown. Combine this with the uncommon Shielding Dash, offering 1 Shield for each enemy passed through, and the rare Quick Dash, resetting its own Cooldown every time you Dash. Look for Daze, Blur, or Bastion set Vestiges for added protection.
Base Kit
Win a run without drafting any bindings.
No Augments No Problem
Win a run without acquiring any augments.
These two achievements share similarities.
For “Base Kit,” you must use only your three default Bindings. You won’t have the option for Ascensions, as the game will attempt to offer you a Drafted Binding, but using Augments is allowed.
As for “No Augments No Problem,” you can select any two additional Bindings in addition to your Base Kit, but you cannot use Augments. Ascensions are permitted in this case.
Empty Pockets
Win a run without acquiring any vestiges.
Here’s another challenging achievement for you.
To achieve this, you must secure a victory without ever collecting a Vestige. It’s not enough to choose one and then drop it; you have to avoid picking up any Vestiges throughout the run. Your key to success will be in creating strong synergies between your Bindings. Good luck!
Spare the Henchmen
Defeat a Villain without defeating any other unit in that fight.
This achievement is best tackled during the Argolath fight, as the Tentacle mechanic and the continuous damage from Cynderpox make it challenging.
I suggest using the Shadow of Ruhnstone aspect for this. Build a Damage over Time setup, focusing on Bleed, Poison, or Burn effects that you can stack directly on Ruhnstone. Use your remaining Will to create Shields or for Healing.
Be careful not to have the hands targeting the head, as that would result in their destruction and count as an enemy defeat. If this happens, you can gently interact with the hands to adjust their targeting.
Completion Achievements (2)
These are the final two achievements in this guide, and they will likely require the most time and effort to accomplish. Good luck on your journey to complete them!
Well Read
Complete all Aspect Quests.
To obtain this achievement, you’ll need to collect every Binding Augment and Ascension for each Aspect in the game. You can keep track of your progress in the Logbook.
Be sure to pay attention to the triangle symbol above cards when you’re drafting. If you see this symbol, it indicates that it’s an option you haven’t chosen yet. This will help you identify the ones you need to select to work towards completing the achievement. Good luck on your journey to gather them all!
Victorious
Complete all objectives in the Victory Board.
The most challenging achievement in this guide is the “Victory Board.”
To access the Victory Board, you can find it in the Logbook. It serves as the ultimate goal once you’ve completed all the quests and comes with its own set of 108 fulfilling conditions. Successfully meeting these conditions will earn you stylish cosmetics for your character.
It’s important to note that these conditions will reset every season, and the rewards will be placed in the free Cosmetic Vault for you to enjoy. Good luck conquering the Victory Board!
