There’s a new update, version 1.15, and it brings a fresh event called Tide of Desolation. But, uh-oh, it’s causing trouble for some folks. The game decides to take a little crash nap right when you try to start it, not even letting you peek at the Lobby screen. Don’t worry, though, there’s a fast solution. But here’s the catch – you’ll have to say bye-bye to your settings because they’re getting a reset button press.
Default Directory
Alright, listen up! If you’re on a Windows computer and talking English, copying and pasting is your superhero move. So here’s the magic path you wanna copy:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hunt Showdown\user\profiles\default
Now, once you’re in there, hunt down the troublemaker called “attributes.xml” and give it the boot. Say bye-bye!
But, hold on, if copying and pasting is not your jam or you’re playing hide-and-seek with your folder, no worries. Just follow these steps:
Step 1: Go into your Hunt directory
- First, head to your Library.
- Next, give a right-click on Hunt: Showdown, and choose Properties.
- Now, in the “Installed Files” section, click on “Browse…” located in the top right corner to open the directory where the game is installed.
Step 2: Navigate to the Right folder
Now, you need to move through these folders: user > profiles > default
Step 3: Delete the attributes.xml file
Lastly, complete the process by removing the attributes.xml file.
Remember, this action will reset all your settings, including sensitivity, graphics, and audio settings.
