This is a guide to get you started in Ton Apart and explain how everything works!

Introduction

The zombie-infested wilderness of Torn Apart can be quite intimidating – which is why we want to give you a few tips to get you started.

First things first: we recommend playing the game with (at the very least) three other players, besides yourself. Generally, the more players the better. You need all the help you can get to fend off those zombies!

Proximity Chat

“You’re too quiet” – “We can’t hear you” – “Why would you say something like that, I was with Robin the WHOLE time, I swear!” – Sound familiar? Let’s sort out two of those issues: Check your audio setting in-game to make sure those settings aren’t getting in the way of your sus-ing out who is secretly plotting against your team (see what I did there?).

Proximity chat is a feature that will be heavily improved if and when the prototype goes into production. Until then we recommend you check your audio settings in-game after every round, just to be extra sure!

Grab your tools

And no, we don’t mean your friends for multiplayer this time around. Upon starting a round, you will possibly make the same mistake I did when I first played and run right through the door and past the table with the tools you absolutely need to pretty much do anything. Don’t be like me. Go grab those tools and get stabbing and/or repairing!

Stock up on nails and screws

Alongside your tools, nails and screws are needed to repair the window and door barricades the zombies are trying to break through. Luckily for you, they can be found in wooden crates littered all across the map. Be sure to stock up on them before you run out.

Join the meeting

When a meeting is called to talk about who of you should be fed to the zombie hordes waiting just outside the gates, you need to go to the meeting room, which is the room you started in. Just like in real life, make sure you go vote to ensure that your voice is heard!

Not to help out the traitors, but…

For those of you that consider themselves masters of disguise: you can pretend to help the survivors by putting in a little nail or screw here and there. All tasks on the map can technically also be done by you! So you COULD just hang around, help your team and not do anything until all your friends get super paranoid and start voting each other out while fights break out in the voice chat, nobody would suspect you, why would they, you were just doing tasks, so you definitely can’t be the traitor… But who would do such a devious thing. Not me.

P.S. You didn’t hear it from us, but yes…right-click to unalive someone.

That's everything we are sharing today for this Torn Apart Prototype guide. This guide was originally created and written by Alex. In case we fail to update this guide, you can find the latest update by following this link.
