This guide will show you how to obtain the Vagrus – The Riven Realms achievement called À l'horizon. According to the achievement description, from the start of a campaign, atteindre la dernière oasis dans 17 in-game days or less.

Over the Horizon Achievement Guide

Achievement description: Dès le début d'une campagne, atteindre la dernière oasis dans 17 in-game days or less.

Spoiler-free tips:

• Choose Vagrus background and perks with an eye towards keeping your comitatus headcount and supply consumption as low as possible.
• Choose comitatus equipment with the same criteria as above.
• This achievement is all about speed. You need to maximize your movement/march points per turn
• The Last Oasis is due west of Larnak, which is marked on the map from the game launch

One successful achievement configuration is hidden below:

• Race/Background chosen: Demonkin, Négrier, Mercenaire (the key here is 3 Intimidation right off the bat)
• Perks chosen: +3 Ingénierie, Traverse
• Équipement: Travelling Saddle, Extra Cargo, both bought at Tor’Zag’s Abri
• Comitatus crew: 6 slaves, 3 fighters, 10 chevaux

Procédure pas à pas:

Le premier jour, move to Kernak Waystation. Une fois à l'intérieur, purchase the available 3 extra mounts, and ditch every headcount you can afford to lose. Il’s not possible to go fully mounted with the 5 mounts you have access to at this point, so you might as well transport (n'importe lequel) party of travelers up to Tor’Zag’s Abri. Enroute, make use of the 2x money and food camping options to get your comitatus Vigor, Nutrition & Morale up to 9. Upon arrival at Tor’Zag’s Abri, sell your wine, buy the Travelling Saddle and Extra Cargo equipment, purchase more mounts, sell your Beast of Burden, and stock up on supplies. You should now have enough mounts to go fully mounted, avec 2 cargo slots for supplies. Now ride west like the wind, Vagabond! You should pick up enough Insight from discovering new regions to get the 4th point of Resourcefulness needed to use the Traverse perk en route. Set your camp rations to 150% and make sure your Nutrition never drops below 9. The Obedience stat will work up to 9 and stay there with enough fighters to fully guard the camp. You can safely use march movement points every turn as long as you do not use more than 50% of them per turn. With judicious use of MMP and the Traverse perk, and a pit stop in Larnak for additional supplies, toi’ll roll into The Last Oasis on day 17.
