This guide will show you some of the basic things that you should learn in Fate/EXTELLA LINK. En outre, we will also be giving some tips that will help you progress in the game.

Destin/EXTELLA LINK Débutant’Guide

  • The attack speed buff from some mystic codes and yellow sword drops not only increases attack speed, rush and skill execution, but it also affects your movement speed and the frequency at which you can spam the dash button. It may be obvious, but you should only spam dash since it has no cooldown. So if you need to rush to another side of the map, consider using a mystic code skill that boosts your AS.
  • Another obvious thing is that installed skills that drop from enemies or boxes are collected automatically, so you do not need to run around and gather them manually.
  • Secret folders, alias. purple sparkles on the map, are a good source of loot. You actually do not need to have enemies to stand in the circle; all you need to do is to be there yourself. Simply draw aggressors closer and burst them with some long or burst skills. Par ici, you will fill the head count required to open the chest and capture the area.
  • Some skills are not nearly as useful as others. You can check the buffs you received during skill setups. Try to always have the golden rule equipped. À première vue, there seems to be a lot of qp, but once you hit higher levels and want to strengthen your servants from 1 à 70, you may quickly run out of stock. The same goes for mystic codes. You will have to craft all of the mystic codes in order to fill the gallery, and at higher grades, they are quite costly. Until I got my hands on double skills, which you will get access to around level 100, I used mostly support skills.
  • You can skip almost everything, including NPs, intros, and dialogues. As an FGO player, this is such a life changer. It is great that you can spam your NP as soon as it is ready, and you do not have to wait through the whole animation, as good as it may be.
  • Try to hit the barracks every 3-4 missions or so in order to get presents from the servants. They include install skills, event dialogues, and mystic code recipes. This is debatable. You will get all the presents anyway, but I did so in order to get install skills, which sped up the progress, albeit a little. There is a milestone, you get something at a specific bond level, but it is not really important. Recipes you will receive at level 30. [?]
  • You can keep your combo count by spamming dashes. There are side missions that require you to have a specific combo count, so utilizing this helps greatly. It is not that reaching combos is difficult, but at higher difficulties, you may be overwhelmed by multiple attacks from aggressors who break combo count. Alternativement, use Gilgamesh. You will easily get 1k after using some of his gatling-like-skills.
  • This may not be a tip, but I found that purple skills that stun or slow enemies are useless. Surely you will stun without fail, but you will not always rush on to stunned enemies. This may be a bug or glitch, je’je ne suis pas sûr. I just got used to rushing without stunning.

The following tips are all about bonds. It is one of the key features in the game, and some of the achievements are tied to this system. Aussi, it is the most time-consuming if you are after 100%.

  • Il y a 26 servants in the game, and you need to get them all to max bond (30) to fill in the gallery, since you get conversations from them at specific levels. je l'ai fait’t bother checking again. Au niveau 30, the mystic code recipe.
  • When you use a servant in battle, they get 1 indiquer. Dans certains cas, j'ai eu 2 ou 3, but I do not know the specifics. All I know is that chapter rank does not affect this. This is important since you also get to choose which servants you will take side missions from. I put my least favorite servants there since I will not be playing them for various reasons.
  • When you accept side missions, there will always be a servant that offers you a mission. This is the same generic mission, but you get one extra bond point if you complete it, alors garde ça à l'esprit.
  • Before jumping into the mission, always check what side missions you get. Par défaut, you will receive missions from servants that you have favorited (max fav 5, max sides 5). But there are some missions that can be annoying. You lose a point if you fail the mission. This is my list of the most annoying things. It goes from worst to average. Try to avoid them for more efficiency:
    • Use LINK to defeat the enemy servant. Le plus souvent, you will be moving fast around the map, and there will be a lot of cases when there are just no friendly servants in the same area as the enemy servant, so try to avoid this mission. There are also next-grade missions that require you to defeat enemy servants with a rush during LINK.
    • Défaite 3 aggressors with the Moon Drive skill. This is not actually that difficult, but sometimes it can be a bit annoying since you have to have aggressors lined up according to your current servant. The majority of them can burst like a long-range attack. But for example, Gilgamesh’s skills are very short. Aussi, aggressors tend to run around.
    • Rush attack 2 fois. This is situational. Sometimes I use skills that are not class-based, and I cannot rush through them. Although it can be fixed with some installation skills.
    • Do something while maintaining 50% HP. This is mostly at the later stages since there will be enemies that will be able to instantly kill you with some skills, or shave a lot of HP with simple combos. Once you lose more than 50%, you fail the mission. It is safe to lose HP after you clear the mission.
