A quick way to gain some scrap early on (even before you open your second world).

Warnung: this is a tedious way to obtain scrap, but it is useful if you truly need it OR it is a nice option if you are farming for the Pulse Rifle at the same time.
How to Scrap Materials
There is a secret chamber beneath the Custodian in N’erud, accessible by a hole in the ground on the left side. Innen, there is a merchant NPC and two elevators. The left one leads back outside, while the right one leads into a second section that may hold the Core Booster and the Pulse Rifle if your map is set up that way.
From the elevator’s bottom, take the right path that runs underneath (you must crouch) some stone pillars to discover the Escalation Circuit (the electric bullets mod crafting item).
If you happen to roll both the Core Booster and the Pulse Rifle in your map, you no longer need to farm for them. Jedoch, if you are unfortunate like me, you will have to reroll the map a few times (I rolled it 8 times for both to appear at the same moment). From rerolling to collection, the entire journey takes 5 Minuten. Drink the Escape Liquid, return to Ward, reroll, und wiederholen. If you’re feeling very daring, you can collect a trait book and/or a purple item from the overworld along the route, boosting your resources even further. And you can do that regardless of your equipment, power level, or archetype. Most enemies will not follow you into the secret room, and your goal is to die after obtaining the item (to avoid having to wait for the elevators to climb).
