Aka – Card Game Basics Guide

This guide gives the basics of how to play and understand the game.

Object of the game

Lower your opponent’s health to zero before they do the same to you.

This is my first guide on steam. Hope someone finds it helpful.

The Board

• At the bottom left is your deck information. Von oben nach unten, left to right the symbols are:
  • Cards remaining in your deck
  • Your health
  • Your shields
  • Card in your discard pile
  • Your action points

• Some of the same symbols are present in the top right corner showing the opponents
  Information.
• In the bottom middle of the screen is your active hand
• At the left middle of the screen is the currently selected card.
• At the top of the screen is the opponent’s hand
• In the center of the screen is the most recently played set of cards.

The Cards

• Cards have names at the top action point costs and symbols at the bottom describing their effects. Full list of cards is at the bottom of the guide.
• Card effects happen when you select and play them. Effects happen instantly and not at the end of the turn.

Gesundheit

• Represented by the number next to the heart. If yours goes to zero you lose. If your enemies goes to zero, Du gewinnst.
  •  Health can be healed by playing cards with hearts on the bottom. Such as taco to heal 2 Punkte

• Health can be damaged by tools and weapons such as the katana

Aktionspunkte

• Represented by the number in the large orange circle this dictates how many cards you can play in a turn.
• Cards cost action points to play as shown by the smaller orange circle on each card.
• Sie werden gegeben 3 action points per turn and they carry over to your next turn as well.
  • By not using all your points you can accumulate many points to use in a single turn to play many cards
• Some cards such as Punky can increase your action points in a single turn.
• Action points seem to increase without limit if not used.

Schilde

• Some cards provide defense in the form of a blue shield.
• Shields absorb damage before your health temporarily increasing your hit points.
• Shields only last 1 runden.
• A shovel can break all shields with a single card.
