Are you unsure about what safe rooms are in Blackout Protocol? Don’t worry! This guide will explain what they do and how they work in the game.
Mission Failure
If you fail a mission by dying, you lose everything you gathered, like Data Nugs, Blueprints, and Credits. Make sure to use them when you have them!
Additionally, any Synaptic Enhancements you’ve acquired will be gone. To maintain your advantages, spend Data Nugs in Safe Rooms to unlock lasting upgrades.
Medical Equipment and Supply Crates
In each Safe Room, there’s a Medical Equipment station. If you use it, your health will be fully restored, all injuries treated, and your Panic Gauge refilled.
There’s also a Supply Crate in the Safe Room, which completely reloads both your current clip and total ammo for all your weapons.
DNS Defragmenter
While on missions, you’ll find blue collectibles called Data Nugs. These precious resources need to be returned to S2P using the nearest DNS Defragmenter, found in the closest Safe Room.
When you submit Data Nugs, you get unique, lasting upgrades that carry over between attempts. It’s crucial to upgrade your Agent’s abilities this way to reach the deepest levels of Section 13.
If a mission fails, any unused Data Nugs are lost. To prevent this, most Safe Rooms have biometric security locks on the exits. If you can’t leave a Safe Room, check to ensure you don’t have any unspent Data Nugs remaining.
Weapons Printer
Agents can use a Weapons Printer to turn in found Blueprints, which expands the list of available weapons in the next run. Remember, blueprints are lost if a mission fails, so avoid dying before reaching the next Safe Room if you have one.
If you submit Blueprints for a weapon you already have, it unlocks higher-tier versions progressively.
New weapons start at Tier 1 with one Perk, and each tier beyond adds an extra Perk.
Perks activate when the corresponding Department stat reaches the required threshold. Agents can boost their Department level by obtaining Synaptic Enhancements of the same type or by purchasing lasting upgrades in any Safe Room.
Display Stands
S2P Display Stands provide weapons that employees can buy using company Credits. Remember, Credits are lost if a mission fails, so feel free to spend them.
The available weapons on the stands are always random, no matter what you’ve unlocked. As you progress deeper into the facility, the quality of the weapons improves.
Outside of Safe Rooms, you might find black market display stands. Even though they’re not company-approved, they work the same way as the official ones.
Display Stands also have Synaptic Enhancements for sale. You can check their color and Department type before making a purchase.
