We invite you to join us in the land of Karvenia, to explore a world of beauty and treachery and uncover the secrets of your past. The release of Bellwright into Early Access marks the end of one long journey, and the beginning of another. نحن’re honored to share this next step with each and every one of you and can’t wait to see players team up with their friends in co-op, mustering their forces against tyranny, or charging against the crown in singleplayer with the help of their loyal rebels.
Player feedback has been and will continue to be critical to the successful development of Bellwright. From when you first saw the game at Steam Next Fest, through the recent limited playtest, to today, نحن’ve managed to significantly improve every aspect of the game. We hope that our work has paid off and that we have provided you with a truly unique experience.
اليوم, the land of Karvenia offers an expansive map spanning 25km², filled with various regions to explore and settle in, villages to liberate from the oppressive regime, and countless points of interest to visit. You are free to choose any of these locations for the many settlements you will construct on your way to freedom.
To help on your journey to liberation, Bellwright bolsters a smart AI system, where you workers will perform mundane tasks in your towns to sustain the rebellion. Guards will defend your settlements from attacks and keep the peace in your absence, ensuring safety of your people, and companions will aid you on your quest and follow you in battle, where you have the freedom to equip and command your squads in a tactical manner.
When it comes to fighting the hordes of enemies, Bellwright features a skill-based directional combat system, where the outcome of each battle depends solely on you. You can choose directions of your attacks and blocks, use shields and bows, and use your soldiers to your advantage to overcome any dangers that you’ll encounter in Karvenia. Where a single bandit early on may pose a tremendous threat, honing your combat prowess will allow you to slay entire encampments and headquarters as you progress.
The game also offers a substantial story from the main quest in search of the truth of your past to an endless number of sub-quests every step of the way, allowing you to gain trust and renown for completing them, and recruit the people to your cause.
In addition to that, we have already begun work on many of the features we have seen requested, such as walls and fortifications to withstand against your enemies, road building to pave the way for your follower, and controller support. نحن’re also currently working on a full fledged Mod Kit to bring your own creations into the world of Bellwright, which is planned to be available very soon after Early Access release.
We believe that from the very first day, Bellwright offers a complete and polished gameplay experience that can be enjoyed both in single player and in co-op with friends. Our release into Early Access provides us with the opportunity to expanded upon and improve what Bellwright already offers, together with you, our community.
